"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 8.9/10 I had a really good stay at the Sleep Inn in Henderson, North Carolina. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. I also appreciated how the hotel provided a good value for the price. There were a few minor things that could be improved, but nothing that took away from my overall experience. I would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Henderson."

"Perfect location for a quiet time! Peaceful and pretty. Easy walking trail around Fox Pond. We don’t have children but the house is right next door (walking distance) from the State park with a playground, tennis courts etc."

"The house is spacious and clean, the ac is strong and we had everything we could possibly need in kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Mitch was a fantastic host and very responsive. He was transparent about the lake being very low and the dock being out of the water. Looking forward to staying here again!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Mary's Place! Conveniently located to the downtown area, and the house was decorated to make you feel right at home! It was great to have a welcoming hone for our pets, and no detail was left overlooked! Would highly recommend staying here, and will be back!"

"The cottage was great ! It had everything you needed! Our stay was like having a little bit of home with you! We were able to cook full meals and didn’t have to go out to eat and spend a fortune. But yet the charm of the cottage still made you feel as if you were in luxury! Watching the butterflies and humming birds was so peaceful. The hosts are terrific and so caring! We will be back!"

"This house was the perfect size and location for our short Labor Day weekend trip. We were two families (4 adults, 3 kids) and there was more than enough room for everyone. We also really enjoyed the location, directly on Lake Gaston and in reasonable proximity to parks and stores. We also liked the stocked kitchen, and everything was available and accessible to use the grill and the kayaks. Our only issues were with cleanliness and the stocking of the bathrooms and kitchen. The place was generally clean (linens, carpet, floors and furniture), but there is some bad staining in both the bathtubs. The bedroom with the bunk beds had the faint smell of cat urine, which was not pleasant. Meanwhile, the bathrooms could have been better stocked. There was only one roll of toilet paper in each and we had to go hunting throughout the house to find hand soap for the sinks. Meanwhile, the kitchen could have been better stocked for actual use — such as more trash bags, paper towels, aluminum foil and dish towels. There was no place to set dishes to dry, but also no towels to dry them. The sponges were also old (new sponges should always be available). Meanwhile, the lights on the dryer control panel don’t work so it’s a guessing game on what settings you’re using. Finally, the area around the kayak launch needs to cleaned up. Lots of trash In the water, esp. So generally, our stay was great overall. There were just some small details that could have been paid better attention to."
