Course of Old Waggonway, Kepwick Quarry Presumably there was a bridge carrying the tramway over the road. The waggonway would have been used to transport limestone from the quarry at a height of 1100' above sea level down to the kilns at 300'. A railway extended to the Thirsk to Yarm road.

Room basic which was fine we didn’t expect it to be amazing. Bed really comfortable. Needs a new tv and a lot of mould round the shower. Room was quite dusty in places. Breakfast was ok standard hotel buffet. Pool was lovely to unwind. Staff on reception amazing very friendly
