"We stayed in the Mercantile and you can't beat the location for Nauvoo. The staff were great. We only took advantage of breakfast one day but it was very good. I would stay there again in future trips to Nauvoo."
"The staff was very nice. The a/c worked great and the beds were comfortable.
However: the property itself and cleanliness was terrible. The smoke-free hotel definitely smelled like smoke. Our toilet seat was broken and the ironing board leg was broke in 1/2. We were given another room. When my husband sat on the bed, it clunked loud. The head of the bed was then a little lower than the foot of the bed. The bathroom door hit the toilet when you opened the door. The toilet wobbled back and forth when you sat on it. There was a light bulb missing from a lamp. The counters at breakfast were dirty at 6:15 am. I would not recommend staying here."
"Staff was helpful when I needed some assistance. Room was remodeled but still had plastic on the mattress. The entry door did not close fully. Needs a little more remodeling."
"The room was very spacious and clean, the staff was really nice when I got there I was on the second floor and I hadn't seen the elevator so I asked if they had a room on the first floor they did, breakfast was good. Definitely would stay there again"
