"The Pointe Hotel and Suites has a lot to offer, including a dock for your own boat and kayaks and bikes available to rent. It’s an energetic but manageable walk to downtown, with convenient access to the Bearskin Trailhead Park, water ski show, and other area attractions. We stayed in a very spacious room on the 2000 level (note that the hotel’s levels are not numbered sequentially). We especially liked the room arrangement with both a king and queen bed. The small outdoor patio with two chairs was also a nice feature. The room was surprisingly quiet considering the highway bridge was almost directly outside our window. The lake view and morning sunrise were enjoyable, although the busy morning traffic between the room and the lake does detract somewhat from the setting. One accessibility consideration: there is a fairly steep ramp in the hallway between the lobby and some of the more distant rooms. This could be challenging for guests using wheelchairs or other mobility equipment, so it may be worth asking about room location when making a reservation. Breakfast is basic—mostly cold and prepackaged items, with a waffle maker as the main hot option and no breakfast meat. If breakfast is important to you, consider making your own in the room or trying one of the nearby restaurants. Overall, the spacious room, waterfront access, outdoor amenities, and proximity to downtown make The Pointe a convenient and enjoyable place to stay."

"This was a great place to stay! Easy check-in, the host was in contact to welcome us and see if we had any questions. The location was amazing!! Felt up north in terms of woods & lake, but close enough to walk downtown anywhere. Would recommend!!"

"We have stayed at this property before and have already booked for next year. This property is located on beautiful lake front property perfect for family fun on docks and in the swimming area and well maintained property including perfect dock for our boat. The cabin is well stocked and always immaculate. The furnishings are tastefully done giving it a Northwoods feel. Jesse, the owner is always prompt in replies, and extremely pleasant. We are honored that she shares her cabin with us!"

"Overall, a great stay at the cabin! The location and views were fantastic, and the porch was excellent for watching sunsets. The check-in process and communication of the host(s) were also top notch. That said, we do have a some recommendations for improvement. First, the cabin's cleanliness could have been better. As examples, the sink had a pretty bad rust stain as a result of the high iron content in the well water, and the porch was cluttered with styro-foam coolers, minnow buckets, dirty shelves with bar-be-que stuff, garbage cans, and other items and the screens had a lot of pine needles stuck therein. Secondly, the refrigerator didn't seem to work very well. The freezer was fine, but the frig did not get our beverages/food cold, or at least as cold as we're used to. We set it on its coldest setting, but it didn't matter. So, we kept most of our beverages in a cooler on ice. Thirdly, and admittedly this is picky, but the mattress on the top bunk bed was not very comfortable. We feel a new mattress of higher quality would be a fine upgrade. Lastly, the cabin doesn't have internet. We missed that when we were deciding where to book. We see that internet service wasn't listed as an amenity, which is fine, but perhaps it should have been disclosed more clearly to avoid any unwelcome surprises for guests. In our case, it gave me an excuse not to work all week, which was great! Again, great stay! Just passing along ideas for improvements!"
