"We enjoyed our stay here - the staff answered messages quickly, and the room although basic had everything needed for a few nights stay including a small well equipped kitchen area (kettle, coffee machine, stove hob). "Generally very nice hotel, some areas I think need to be modernised, the safe in the room did not work even though I mentioned it to Reception twice. Sun beds were generally always available, which was a good thing and the slides in the waterpark were excellent for children. Food was excellent in each restaurant we went to."

"The highlights of the stay were the excellent breakfast buffet. It was really impressive. The more the guests, the better the offerings. We were half board so had dinner as well. There weren’t enough guests on half board so there wasn’t a buffet but the hotel allowed us to order anything on the menu. The drinks on the last night were comped which was quite nice. Stella from F&B was a standout. She was incredibly welcoming and helpful and very understanding, helping us get comfortable at the hotel. The other staff member who helped us was the young man at the door. He helped create a great impression for the first time, we didn’t see him much so I couldn’t catch his name. The other staff especially front desk really lacked hospitality and bedside manner. Requests to answer questions or open the garage were met with “what!?” as though we spouted blasphemy. Very strange and uninviting. The hotel parking is convenient but kind of a pain to get in — you have to send someone up to front desk to have them open the gate while you hover there blocking the street. There are two pools and I would rate them as satisfactory because they are very small. The location is excellent. Just adjacent to the museum and our room had a wonderful view of the port and the water. We enjoyed our stay there."

"I had a wonderful stay at Sofia's Hotel. It's incredibly convenient, located just a 10-minute walk from the airport. You can also take Bus #6 for only €1–2, which drops you off very close to the hotel. I chose to walk, and it was an easy, pleasant walk. The service was exceptional from the moment I arrived. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions. The hotel has a nice pool and an on-site restaurant, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay, and the price was excellent for an overnight stay. If you're looking for a comfortable, affordable, and convenient hotel near the airport, I highly recommend Sofia's Hotel."

"Amazing property! I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade upon arrival. From the moment I stepped onto the grounds, every staff member was welcoming, personable, and eager to help. My room was incredible, featuring a private pool, steam room, a 360° TV that doubles as a mirror, and excellent Bluetooth speakers. The amenities throughout the property were equally impressive, including the well-equipped gym, fantastic restaurant, and beautiful pool with floating lounge chairs. This is truly a state-of-the-art property with exceptional service. Its location is another major plus—just six minutes from Heraklion Airport, making it incredibly convenient. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"The lobby and breakfast bar area was nice as well as the pool. The rooms need a major overhaul as they have old ceilings walls and decor. The bathrooms were old and had grout and old tile swere dingy and showers were like capsules. The balconies overlooked an old roof area and had some trash outside. This place had potential but the old rooms ruined it for me."
