"We chose Merope because it was close by to family we were visting, and convenient to shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is in good condition and clean. However, the surrounding area, especially the parking area, was quite dirty, with trash strewn about, overflowing trash cans, and cats everywhere. "Hotel Anthemis is a family run/operated hotel located in the heart of Therma. Rooms and common areas are cleaned regularly and fresh linens/towels provided (every other day). Hot water can be tricky in winter months as the solar powered water heaters are the source. You may want to avoid taking showers late at night or early in the morning, unless you like cold showers. Rooms have all the basics as well as mini fridges and safes. Staff is ever smiling and eager to assist you in anyway they can, whether you need a rental car or a taxi/cab ride to the airport, they make it happen. Breakfast is not served during winter, only offered in Summer months. Sometimes noise (especially bathroom) seem to travel between rooms little more than you would expect but it is certainly not a deal breaker."
