Breve Azurine Lagoon Retreat

Breve Azurine Lagoon Retreat

10/10 Excellent
"This hotel/resort is absolutely amazing. It is quiet and beautiful. It reenergized my wife and I after a very busy few years at work that were taxing on us. Staff is amazing, kind, and helpful. The hotel is furnished beautifully with most of the structure of polished meranti wood, and a mix of eclectic furniture from local woodworkers in the world famous region for wood carving of Jepara, and mixed western and eastern ‘90-2000 design. Very comfy and romantic. Food is fresh very tasty and varied. Mind you Karimunjawa is an island and not everything is always available. But that is also charming. Plenty of things to do, but for us just rest and snorkeling was enough. We absolutely enjoyed every minute of being here. Staff is incredible: when our flight out was cancelled (without notifying us), the staff created a rescue plan to get us off the island by boat and with a personal driver to Yogyakarta that same day. I have never been to any hotel that can beat that kind of personal service. The individual staff members are approachable via WhatsApp. If you like quiet time (or even having the place to yourself a few days) consider visiting during changeover from wet to dry season. It is quiet and the weather in our case was mostly great. Had one nightly storm only! Rest was sunny and 32-35C."
