Our family had a great time at the Burn's farm. Modern kitchen, large living room, outdoor seating on the porch, and picnic tables on the grounds. Four bedrooms and three baths accomidate a large family, We look forward to returning.
This place is lovely! I love the kitchen, we made all our meals with ease. Lots of places to relax indoors and outdoors. Clean, quiet and easy to find. This home is the best of historic luxury, it’s hard to find both in one place!
Very beautiful old farm house.
Lovely furnishings and comfortable beds!
The kid room was perfect with toys to play with and having all the kids sleep in the same room!
Excellent property, well maintained and quaint. We loved the yard and wish we could have spent more time here. Our kids loved the games provided on the property, there were enough to keep them entertained inside when it rained and outside when the weather broke. The kids were overjoyed when they were asked to feed the chickens. Would love to come back to this lovely property that we were able to make memories.
Perfect arrangements for our family. Nice location. Felt we were living in country but minutes to restaurants and shopping. The yard was great for outdoor activities and we enjoyed seeing the farm animals across the fence
We were in town for my sisters wedding. We thought it would be fun to stay somewhere other than a hotel. We had a great time staying there. Plenty of room for my family and my sisters family. We loved the cats and the horses. We met the property owner and he was really nice and easy to deal with. Would definitely stay again.
The farm house is lovely and big enough to have a big family or group of friends. We loved sitting in the backyard with the barn cats. We visited the Elms Spa and the Fence Stile Vineyards and went for great Indian food at Seva Cuisine of India.
This property is a nicely renovated farm house. We really appreciated having three bathrooms! The kitchen was beautiful. The camp style bedroom with 4 twin beds was fun.
The property is a short drive to Worlds of Fun, many restaurants, a movie theater with 4D and even a cat cafe.
This was our home base while attending a local retreat- plenty of space (and bathrooms) for everyone. This is a historical house with the interesting and typical architectural features you’d expect for its age; but also had the modern updates and amenities you’d want for a comfortable stay. Well appointed kitchen and nice large dining and living rooms. The stairs to the second floor bedrooms are steep and narrow - guests with mobility issues should be mindful of that. There is one bed and bathroom downstairs.
I loved the feeling of the house and that several activities were provided for children. They had cornhole, frisbees, balls, and all sorts of fun things for kids to do. It was also great to see the chickens and the horses. My kids love being outdoors. The yard is spacious and a great place to gather families.
There were 5 of us who all brought sewing machines to set up. We used the living room as our sewing room and set up our cutting station in the foyer. Ironing board and design board set up in the dining room. We appreciated having the downstairs bathroom. Even with the rain, sleet and snow we were cozy, sewing away in our farmhouse.
This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property, and it doesn’t disappoint! So much space, inside and out, clean, and it had everything you could want! Three full bathrooms which made everything easier when we got ready each day. Plenty of gathering space in the kitchen, or dining room, and family room! I would highly recommend the property for family gatherings, girl groups, or just a nice night away! Super close to fine dining, the Historic Liberty Square and all of it’s boutique shopping. Great place!
This home was amazing! The decor and warmth in the home made us feel like we were at home. Everything we needed was provided. The property is beautiful, nicely manicured and Cowboy is a great cat host! Plenty of room for our group of 5.
We came for a Chiefs game, the house was only a 25 minute drive. We will definitely be back for our next game! Thank you for such a great experience!
Mother, Daughter, and Karen weekend (she can't help it's her name)
As a close-knit extended family, we visited the area for a long and relaxing weekend. We had a wonderful time seeing the sights, visiting local museums, points of interest, and several wineries! The house comfortably hosted our group of six, and we even cooked dinner in the well-equipped kitchen one night. We played games at the table and enjoyed coffee and morning conversations in the living room. Just outside the city, the home is an inviting getaway. We had a small hiccup with check-in, but with a single call, we were able to reach the property owner and gain access. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a homey place to stay in Liberty and the adjacent areas.
What a beautiful place! It was perfectly clean and was an elegant, comfortable home. There were lots of vintage furniture and decorations. The kitchen was a joy to use, and we all enjoyed doing things like sitting in the horse chairs, using the tiled bathrooms, using the horse plates, and looking at the china. All the pictures were accurate. We enjoy houses like this because our young kids are good at being careful and not touching things, but I would note that the steep stairs and decorations would not be ideal for every family. Owners were responsive, and we met Joe who was very kind and answered all our questions about the house. The beds were very comfortable, and the sheets and pillows were very comfortable too. Easy parking for our minivan. Good hot water. Towels, extra blankets, kitchen things all easy to find. The horses were all friendly, the chickens and guinea fowl were interesting to watch, and the cats were SUPER friendly. The kids especially enjoyed the cats. The location was very relaxing to sit outside. In the day, there was ample shade in the yard and two picnic tables. In the evening there were fireflies. The location is high enough up that you have a steady breeze and are able to cloud and weather watch. The yard was perfect for kids to run around in and was nice and big. This place was lovely, and we would love to stay again if needing a place around here. Nothing to change, and no complaints. Us and all our kids loved this place. Highly recommended.
We loved our stay at this farmhouse in Liberty. The house was charming and clean. We loved spending hours outside. The cats were a big hit with my kids. I was sad to leave the farm when our stay ended.
We stayed at the farmhouse over a long weekend and enjoyed the property and its animals outside very much (especially the Guinea hens!) the barn is an amazing backdrop for photos and we took full advantage of that when photographing some quilts (quilts were the reason for our visit going to Missouri Star and the Libety quilt walk)
