The Space:
Pax Sacellum makes the ideal southern Utah basecamp for hikers and is perfect for families, too! With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this split level home has plenty of room for everyone - you can sleep up to 9. Kids will enjoy the pool & foosball tables and other fun games located downstairs, while parents enjoy the lovely sitting room on the main level. All-in-all, you're sure to make magical memories here!

Back yard - Fully-fenced, spacious with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating, fire pit, BBQ grill.

Guest Access:
Private entrance to the home. Keypad lock to open the door. We'll send you a private lock code prior to your stay. For the safety of our guests and our property, we have two Nest cameras installed.

The Neighborhood:
Pax Sacellum is located just a few blocks from downtown Kanab.

There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops. We love some of the local tour companies; they can make your travel time far more productive and enjoyable. Many of them even offer early morning pick-ups from Kanab.

Equestrian and biking trails are also available.

Getting Around:
This home has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, as well as the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Just minutes away from downtown Kanab, this home makes accessing local restaurants, shops, and grocery stores convenient and easy!

Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places.

Page, AZ airport is 1 hour away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3 hours away.

Cancellations Terms: Please be advised there is a 3% cancellation fee regardless of the cancellation date.

For the safety of our property and our guests, we have cameras around the perimeter of the property. Some of the cameras are monitoring the front/back door as well.

Please keep in mind that the front and back yard are both still unfinished and we are working on getting them completed.

Kanab is situated in the "Grand Circle" area and known as the "Hub of the Parks", centrally located among Zion National Park (30 miles), Bryce Canyon National Park (77 miles), the Grand Canyon (North Rim - 80 miles). You can also visit Pipe Springs National Monument (21 miles), the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (15 miles), Vermilion Cliffs National Monument (77 miles), Coral Pink Sand Dunes (20 miles), Kodachrome Basin (93 miles), Lake Powell/Glen Canyon Recreation Area (75 miles), the "Wave"/Paria Wilderness (50 miles), Horseshoe Bend (77 miles), Cedar Breaks National Monument (65 miles) and so much more. Please note mileage is approximate and may vary by a few miles.
