"The villa is in a lovely quiet location but close to the bars and restaurants and of course the beach. House was lovely and welcoming and had a welcome hamper with amazing olive oil that is produced by the olive trees in the garden. We had a very relaxing holiday but also had the chance to explore some of the island. "

"We spent 2 fantastic weeks in Wendy’s property outside Kalyves. Villa is stunning, photos do not do it justice. Communications with Wendy were answered quickly and the whole booking went smoothly and without any hitches.A car is a must, Kalyves is too far to walk to and return journey is up a steep hill. Also Crete itself is beautiful and requires further investigation so a car is essential.All in all a fantastic holiday topped off by a 5 star villa."

"Lovely villa, fantastic pool and garden area. Bit of a walk to Kalyves but downhill. Easy to get a taxi back up! Cleaner was great. Company very responsive via email. Would have liked some information about things in the villa and where to go to shop and eat, taxi services to use, things to do around the area etc. It would have been nice to have been left basics like bottled water, coffee, bread when we first arrived. "

"Lovely, bright, spacious villa, beautiful views. Almyrida is a lovely town with plenty of great restaurants to choose from.We hired a speed boat from Antonis Boat Rentals which was a holiday highlight. Kera beach is only a 10 minute walk from the villa, not much sand, but a lovely dip in the sea"

"The villa is in a fantastic location with lovely gardens and a huge terrace with sunbeds. The views are fantastic. We hired cars which were useful for getting to the beach and into Chania. We were a family of mainly adult couples, so the ensuites were useful. They were all on the small side however. The children enjoyed the swimming pool but it was unheated so they were unable to stay in for a long time. The owners/agents were very helpful when a 'Sahara' rainstorm coated the patio, garden furniture and swimming pool with orange sand. They came and jet washed the affected areas and vacuumed the swimming pool 3 days running. There is another house being built next door so the pool was, on occasions, overlooked by builders. In view of this the owners allowed us to stay in the villa, on our last day until 3pm, when we needed to leave for our flight. This was a big help."
