"Overall out stay at Blue Bay was good. We booked an ocean view room but was a bit disappointed to see our view included the construction of a new beach which made our view not as pleasurable. On our first day the master bathroom flooded and water went throughout the unit. Maintenance arrived and was able to fix the drain and clean the water up. We also had some minor issues with the bathroom sink. Minus these few issues, the property was very nice. There are restaurants on the property and a nice beach as well. You need to either rent a car or one of the golf carts to get around the property as it is a large resort with lots of different properties. The staff were extremely friendly. "

"Had an amazing stay, stayed in an ocean view room. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. "

"You experience a nightmare while they try to sell you a dream. Don’t be fooled by the pictures of the rooms. My room was in terrible condition — there were roaches, no outlets for charging old furniture, balcony chipped paint, the bathroom ceiling was covered in mold with no ventilation, the vanity was broken with cracked surfaces, and the caulking around the tub was poorly done. The room desperately needs renovation. On top of that, the AC sounded like a lawn mower running nonstop. The buffet was also unacceptable. Birds were everywhere, including standing on the bread and snatching food, with bird droppings around the dining area. It was completely unsanitary. The seafood restaurant had water bugs, and there were cats roaming throughout the resort. The entire place felt more like a zoo than a luxury resort. The beach area was very small — only about 12 people could comfortably fit in the sand and water at one time. Even the spa was disappointing. The waiting area chairs were dirty, the robes were old and torn, and again, there were no slippers provided. Overall, this resort was extremely disappointing and nowhere near the luxury experience advertised."

"The young lady who checked us in was amazing and very kind and helpful. I did not get her name but she had short blond hair. She was great. There were also several other employees who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Chunalies greeted us with a warm smile and graciousness from our first encounter until we left. She exemplified excellent customer service and a few others should follow her lead . She was very engaging and made sure we had whatever we requested! Rachel at the bar beside the pool was nice as well. Jayden was helpful as well. Kendrick started off ok but as the days wore on we seemed to be more of a nuisance to him as opposed to valued customers. He has to do better! Raja at the omelet station was nice and helpful every encounter. Georgia who worked the buffet was nice, so was the other young lady with the reddish hair . I did not get her name unfortunately. The manager at the buffet a young lady was very accommodating and ensured that we had everything we need. Her name may have been Shawntell. On the other hand Kristy who worked the buffet either two or three nights seemed less than concerned about our needs. In fact she continued to walk pass us pretty much ignoring our requests for drinks. Her customer service skills were abysmal at best. I’m not sure of how the culture is but we are used to being served drinks during our meal. At a minimum water should have been offered Even that was too much for her. She seemed to be annoyed that we were there."
