"Beautiful location with views of the Meteora rocks. Close to hiking trails to monasteries. Owners were beyond belief and did our laundry for 20E. Paid for breakfast but well worth it. Great restaurant up the street - Meteron Panorama (try the steppe cow steak and smoked black pig). Worth spending 2 nights after hiking 11 miles."

"The location was great-we were able to start our hikes to the monasteries right from the hotel without dealing with parking nightmares. Check in was not done in person. You needed to follow instructions from the owner to put code in to get a key. Was a bit complicated especially since we arrived when it was getting dark. I prefer having an in person introduction to the room. The room was clean and the beds comfy but it was very dark. One of the lamps did not have a bulb in it. They took care of...

"Guesthouse Arsenis was amazing! I visited during the "off season", but the weather was still beautiful. The location could not have been better. It was a two minute drive into town and amazingly close to the monasteries. The view from my room and the dining area was gorgeous. Checking in was super simple and I had a chance to talk to the owner and his mother (who were both very, very kind!). The house and land have been in their family for generations and they have clearly taken very good care...

"This is a new property in Kastraki, which is a 15 min walk or 5 euro taxi ride from the town of Kalambaka. Kastraki is a small, quaint village at the foot of the monasteries in Meteora. There is a lovely family run restaurant just at the end of the road, and a bakery across the street. The rooms themselves are well designed, modern and comfortable. For a fee, ask about late check out. It’s very much worth it given the transportation options out of Kalambaka. I’d definitely come back again!"
