"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Divani Meteora while we were in the area exploring the famous monasteries and convents of Meteora.
The hotel is very clean and the staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming. We traveled with our 8 year old daughter and they even gave her a welcome gift of drawing pencils and a coloring book which I thought was an unexpected and very thoughtful touch.
The Divani is walking distance to the center of Kalabaka town where we ate several meals during our stay in the area. We made use of the gym and indoor pool which was a nice treat for my daughter. (It was a little chilly and windy to use the beautiful outdoor pool). There is ample parking if you are on a driving trip as we were. And the included breakfast spread kept us going on several long days of exploring.
I highly recommend the Divani to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable stay in the Meteora area"
"The place had an excellent view of many of the monasteries. The breakfast was incredible, the pool was a nice addition and very relaxing. The staff is very helpful and wonderful to talk to. We stayed for 2 nights and would definitely go back again. It was on the other side of the train tracks, but that did not matter to us. We took our car and parked in the free public parking lot and ventured into town. Incredible place and would recommend it to anyone"
"This was an amazing stay! The breakfast was the best part of the experience—fresh, delicious, and with so many options. I have traveled extensively in the United States, and I have never had a hotel breakfast that compares to this one."
"As an Expedia Platinum member and a frequent traveler, although I have enjoyed my time in the Villa, I am incredibly disappointed with the misleading information provided in Expedia by the San Giorgio Villa.
-No Daily Housekeeping: I was assured by the Villa, throughout Expedia, that daily housekeeping was provided, but this service was simply never delivered during my stay.
The mentioned issue was brought to the staff's attention in a timely manner without a satisfactory answer/solution.
Goodwill and kind gestures, while necessary, are not enough to solve a misleading information related to the service provided.
To the management:Please do not bother replying to this review with a generic apology."
"Great on site parking and the service at the bar was excellent and very affordable. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of options and definitely met our needs. I would stay here again when I’m in the area."
"The location is great for visiting the Monasteries as it is right at the beginning of the road to the top. The breakfast was great and diverse. We choose a standard room and didn't need a room with a view as we were most of time out of it. The staff has been very very helpful and help take care of paying a parking ticket on main street while having supper (no signs we couldn't park there). In my opinion that's a tourists trap particularly when you don't read Greek. Overall a very nice stay."
"Excellent location, friendly staff, and nice morning breakfast. Unfortunately the AC unit did not work well and our room was very warm. If traveling in the hot summer months, I would pick different accommodations."
