Relax at the edge of the sea in beautiful Kakanui. Overlooking Campbells Bay with sea views from every room, we offer a comfortable and cosy experience. With therapeutic sounds of the beach within walking distance, and historic Oamaru only 14kms away, you can enjoy a bit of both worlds.

A 1970s crib that has been extended over time, resulting in a quirky layout with three interconnected bedrooms that come off the lounge (no hallway), and is most suitable for families or close friends.

Please note: the house has old fittings and carpet so that animals can stay. Still very comfortable though :)

Loved the 70s Kiwi Bach!

Loved the authentic kiwi Bach overlooking the ocean. This well loved home had everything we needed to cook our own meals, sleep in comfortable beds and enjoy being in a Bach ! We loved being in a quiet rural countryside and enjoyed the ability to walk to the beach and seaside path. Would definitely stay again!

Loved the conservatory! Spent ages watching the ever changing ocean. A great spot to unwind, walk on the beach and around the small town of Kakanui. The house has all you need.

Million dollar oceanfront view

Lovely house with oceanfront view just as pictured we loved everything about it, decor was lovely with a coastal vibe and sunroom was my favorite spot. Would highly recommend staying there. Host was gracious and let us check out late to max out our stay.

This “quirky” residence lived up to that description. A real retro feel but for us and 2 dogs it all worked out very well. Needed to be tech savvy to use TV etc. location great especially in regard to the sea - lots of beach walks available

The location is amazing. However, the house needs renovation as the host readily admits. Also, I used the old binoculars that must have been a favorite of a previous owner. There was much ghostly movement of steps and thumps in the middle of the night. My friend was concerned,not knowing if this was a friendly spirit or other.
