Te Aroha Motel

"Our room was clean and compact. We were late arriving so the heat pump had been put on warm the room for our arrival. There was a large powerful microwave which was great to heat our late supermarket meal. Nice big comfortable bed with comfy pillows. We were given a generous amount of milk in glass bottles which was appreciated. Great room for our short stay 👌"

"What a wonderful clean open place to stay. I found the hosts great communicators and therefore I felt most welcome. I was invited to walk their garden and make myself at home. They were not home during my stay, but I did not find this an issue as they always available online. All instructions for check in and out were clear and concise. I will definitely stay again and recommend the place to others looking for a cosy, warm quiet and private place to stay. The kitchen was well equipped and there were coffee and tea items available in the pantry. I was also greeted with a complimentary bar of chocolate and fresh oranges from their own garden -a nice touch. In my opinion, I think this lovely one bedroom place is more for a single person or couple, given the layout and available space. The couch does open to a bed if required perhaps for another person or child. Highly recommend. It’s proximity was perfect-being 7-10 minutes to Thames township, and a few minutes to a lovely beach below."

"I had a fantastic stay at Te Aputa Lodge. It is truly a great property that offers a peaceful and comfortable getaway. Waking up to the nice sea view was a major highlight of the trip. Additionally, the entire place is perfectly well maintained, from the spotless rooms to the surrounding grounds. I would absolutely stay here again."
