"A few smaller items that made the stay slightly questionable, no elevator bags had to be carried. Not much to do about that in an historical building, but it's a note for guests. I would expect a notch better, especially when coming to bedding. The bed was comfortable, but I would expect down pillows and blanket at this price point. The record player was a lovely touch. Parking was challenging, but again, historical town we must make compromises. Wonderful shower towels, GREAT pool and hot tub area. The location of the hotel is / was supreme. Only coffee offered in the lobby, no inroom machine, and no option of a latte, or capp in the hotel or lobby, only in adjacent restaurant. (Loud bathroom fan, bug in room, a little mildew build up on the shower grout, definite degradation happening on plumbing fixtures. At this price point, should be better)"

"The host made check in very easy. The property is about 10–15 minutes from downtown Oak Bluffs and was easy to find. It’s also a short drive to Edgartown, which was very convenient. We appreciated having parking at the property since we had a rental car. The home was clean. The property has a charming, classic feel, although some of the furnishings and finishes are a bit dated. The only drawback for us was that we noticed a few spiders in and around the property. Nothing excessive, but our daughter is extremely afraid of spiders, so it was something we noticed more than we probably otherwise would have. Given that the property is situated in a wooded area, it’s understandable and to be expected to some degree. Overall, it’s a nice property, and we enjoyed our time on Martha’s Vineyard. We would recommend the property to others looking for a peaceful location that’s convenient to both Oak Bluffs and Edgartown."

"Just perfect. I can’t say enough about this listing. Certainly clean and Stephen is so considerate and thoughtful. Everything you could possibly need is provided.. Very central location.. Stephen responds immediately when you contact him. We plan on rebooking"
A Charming Vineyard Cottage Just Off the Pond

"We had a great stay at the Cottage. The location made it easy to get to OB, Vineyard Haven, and Edgartown (and especially the triangle) as well as to avoid triangle traffic when heading up Island. The house is actually bigger than it looks online (while remaining cozy)- and good for parents young children as there is a kids bathroom and the master with its own bathroom is right next to the kids room (we didn't bring monitors but left the door open at night). Additionally, the living room with TV is on the other side of the house (so you can have some adult time watching a show or chatting there or on the expansive back porch after bedtime). I enjoyed that the living could serve as a flex bedroom as needed with a pullout couch. The washer/dryer were great (another essential for parents with young kids). A few things broke down when we arrived or needed to be replaced -but we signed up for an older cottage so this was not shocking. The outdoor shower was clean and essential for post beach cleanup. Steve was very responsive about check in and other questions we had. The one thing I would improve is changing filters for the air conditioning units which seemed a bit musty, and we ended up washing the bath towels (which also started out as musty- fine once they were freshly washed)."

"Brenda and Derek were amazing hosts. They have a beautifully landscaped property with all the amenities needed for a relaxing family vacation. They are super responsive and take a lot of pride in giving their guests a top-notch experience. We will definitely consider staying at their properties again."
