    The Space:

    Echo Lake (Lower) is located on the resort side of Wallowa Lake! You'll be just a short walk from Vali's Alpine Restaurant, and you can always adventure up Mt. Howard by taking the Wallowa Lake Tramway! This is a ground-level, three-bedroom, two-bath duplex with an easy entry and just a few blocks from the Scenic Meadows Go-Carts. You'll have a private side yard for outdoor relaxing that is often shared with many of our local deer. Inside, you'll have a large dining area, a spacious living room, and a gas fireplace. The first bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom has a queen, the third room has a double, with a queen sleeper sofa available in the living room. The first bathroom has a jetted tub and the second bathroom has a shower. The private washer and dryer are located in the third bedroom.



    THINGS TO KNOW

    Seasonal bbqs are available from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. BBQs are propane and tanks are provided. We strongly encourage you to review your tank level in the morning and if a replacement is needed please reach out to your local contact for a tank replacement.

    No fires or fire pits are ever allowed due to the heavy timbered area and county restrictions.

    4WD/traction may be required in winter.

Responses from the management company were slow... Phone number on the refrigerator was no longer working. We were very concerned about a bear who came onto the property in the early eve when we arrived. The bear turned over plastic non-bear proofed garbage cans and sat out back for a long time going through plastic to get to food waste left in the cans from previous tenants. We love wild animals and this situation was very upsetting. Bears that get habituated to human contact end up becoming a danger and get killed instead of just removed. Your neglect is putting tenants and the bear at risk. Your information in the book in the rental said to use the bear proof receptacles; you did not have any. The bear left quite a mess out back and we left it so you can understand. The house's location was very nice for activities.

It was very comfortable. From description it indicated it had a shower in each bathroom but actually only 1 shower and other bathroom had a tub. There were no instructions as to what to do with garbage and there was no outside garbage receptacle. We kept our garbage inside. Previous renters garbage was outside and eventually animals got into it. It is in a good location. Close to Lake activities.
