"The location of the Tavern is great! There are plenty of restaurants and locations for entertainment without going over the bridge. Owner is friendly and staff is also friendly to chat with. For a locally owned business, they are doing a great job supplying multiple perks for a fair cost!"

"Great location in town and close to everything park and walk everywhere!!! Only issue was the code for the main door. We had some issues getting in after hours but very clean and friendly staff!!! "

"As seasoned time-share and vacation rental users, we were highly dissatisfied with the condition of this property. I will give a few objective examples (of which I have photos): -In most places the exterior decking is completely worn to the point that the nail heads are above the level of the wood. Absolutely a hazard. -Some of the kitchen drawers and cabinets do not work well properly due to bad rollers or broken/loose hinges. -The carpets in the dining room and living room are dirty with some staining. -The front and rear doors do not close easily and must be jammed shut -Even with the rear door shut there is air gap almost completely around the perimeter -The front storm door has no latch and cannot shut properly -The toilet seat is so old that the staining has discolored it. -The bathmat is filthy and worn. -The fan in the bathroom did not function. With several adults using one tiny bathroom and no way to open the window, this was unpleasant, at best. -There is an old broken heater in the wall of the bathroom. Besides being an eye sore and dirty, is a hazard to small children. -Unlike the pictures shown, the upper deck furniture was in very poor condition. One lounge has mold stains. The other had a badly torn cushion, and the sofa rotted at the frame. -There is no beach caddy available even though advertised as such. There was nothing “historic” about this place. It needs serious upgrading/renovation. The interior is cluttered with dingy furniture and knick-knacks."

"Perfect location to appreciate all OCNJ has to offer - stores, local dining and beaches. Also great proximity to our other favorite spots in Margate and Strathmere. Place was updated, host was accessible and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again!"

"The property was much nicer in the pictures. The water never got actually hot and the bedroom was boiling because the air conditioner is old and probably needs to be replaced or at least have the filter cleaned- it was under the steps why I have no idea because cold air drops so why wouldn’t you put the air where you are sleeping???? The sheets supplied were old and not comfortable and I had to search for pillows. All in all This place was NOT worth the money!!!! Shop around there is better out there"

"Although it was a quiet area, the view of walls leading into a alley as your first look while leaving the property isnt the best. The secondary shower might work if you're 5 foot and dont have to turn around.... yes, its thats small.... honest opinion- not worth the $..."
