"Great place to stay in Harpers Ferry! The unit was clean and cozy, and the host friendly and responsive. You can’t beat the location. Everything’s within walking distance – Lower Town and the NHP, several bars and restaurants, and the Amtrak/MARC station. Would stay again!"

"Such a cute and comfortable home! Our family of 5 stayed for along weekend. We absolutely loved the multiple comfy locations on the deck to relax - there was always a breeze and plenty of shade. The home had modern appliances, bathroom etc but a rustic chic that we enjoyed. There’s a quaint coffee shop nearby when we chose not to brew at the house, and we were walking distance to town (we enjoyed the hill down and back up, which was a good workout a few times a day). The 2 beds were very comfortable. We did choose to have 1 kid sleep on an air mattress and another on the couch downstairs, as the futon upstairs is quite hard. I was very impressed with how well-appointed the home was - cozy blankets spread around, skewers available for roasting marshmallows over the fire pit - and even a med kit for emergencies! Thank you for the lovely stay!"

"Space was very clean and smelled great! Came with everything we needed, bed and even couch were super comfy. The shower was amazing, the handheld sprayer was a great touch. Short walk to downtown, coffee and restaurants. Loved the guidebook the host sent prior to check in that recommended things to do and places to eat. Would love to come back and book this again on an anniversary trip!"

"This was a great place for a couple of days of relaxed, catching up with friends. We sat on the front porch, talking, people watching and even playing a bit of music. The house is quirky and fun, but has everything you need. Jessica and Owen provided snacks and toiletries that felt quite luxurious. Their guidebook was very helpful. All of historic Harper‘s Ferry was just steps away, so it was easy to go out to explore for a bit and then return. Our two pups also enjoyed their stay and the ability to alternate exploring and chilling on the front porch. (One especially seemed to want to stay as indicated by his sitting in the suitcase so packing could not happen.) We were stuck by the friendliness of everyone we encountered, including AT hikers passing by, shopkeepers, restaurant staff, and random people like ourselves. Because this is an older home built into a hillside, the steps inside and outside the house are a bit tricky. There are also small step level changes between the floors in different places (not a problem once you get used to them). The windows are old and mostly nonfunctional, but the AC was good and fans were provided. All 4 of us loved the house, its location and how well it worked for a relaxing catch-up time. Jessica and Owen were absolutely wonderful about communicating. We will definitely return in the future."

"Our group of four had an incredible stay at the Spy House. The house was very clean and filled with natural light throughout the entire home. The kitchen was well-accommodated, and having three bathrooms for our group was fantastic—not only did it make our mornings seamless, but it was also incredibly helpful for everyone to clean up and shower after full days of hiking. Communication with Jay was excellent from start to finish—he was very nice, responsive, and attentive.For us hikers, the location was perfect! There is trail access right outside the house, and it is a quick 3-minute walk to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. (They are so welcoming!) It's an easy walk to historic downtown Harpers Ferry, which feels like an open-air museum with its beautifully preserved historical buildings and fascinating exhibits highlighting the town's unique past. The property is an easy 45-minute drive to Shenandoah National Park, which is absolutely stunning and offers endless trail options.After long days of hiking, we really liked relaxing on the lovely front porch, sitting in the chairs, and enjoying the cool, refreshing evenings. We had everything we needed for a wonderful trip and would highly recommend staying here!"
