About this property

Horn HideAway: Wooded Cabin Retreat, Fire Pit, Lake Fun, Cozy, Sleeps 8, Pets!

  • The Horn HideAway features 2 bedrooms plus a spacious loft area. Please note that the loft may not be ideal for young children, as it is accessed by a built-in ladder. The ladder is sturdy and secure, and the loft space can be closed off for privacy. We affectionately call this cozy retreat the “Birds’ Nest.” It includes a queen bed, full bed, and a dedicated workspace with an additional monitor, making it perfect for relaxing or remote work.

    The kitchen was recently updated featuring a new stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. A breakfast bar with seating for two overlooks the dining area. The dining table has room for at least 4 more. Guests will also find plenty of small appliances including a coffee maker, crockpot, waffle maker, griddle, electric mixer, and more to make your stay comfortable and convenient.

    Outside, enjoy peaceful wooded surroundings with a fire pit and multiple outdoor seating areas. Marshmallow roasting sticks are available in the kitchen, and fire starter logs are kept in the utility room if you need a little help getting the fire going.

    Stay connected with high-speed internet, reliable cell service, and streaming TV options.

    The Horn HideAway has been lovingly built and enjoyed by our family for over 20 years. Tucked among the trees in a peaceful wooded setting, you’ll feel away from it all while being just 10–15 minutes from Gaylord and all it has to offer.

Perfect for a golf trip

This was a perfect location for a golf trip to the Gaylord area. Right between Treetops and Garland and several other courses. The host was very good at responding to our questions, and the cabin was just right for us (two golfing guys) to be comfortable. Paul's Pub - about 1.5 miles down the road - was wonderful as well.

Good Summer fun home

Pack light, this cabin is comfortable and cozy. Many extra essential and toys.. This was close to rivers and lakes for summer fun. Gaylord is a great town. July 4th parade and fireworks in Joannasburg gave that small town feeling. Quiet and tucked in,truly a hideaway. On our 10 night stay we explored all over northern Mi... Would definitely return
