The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is beautiful. The staff made me feel so at ease. Everything was just as the pictures (well besides the pool....i thought it was on the roof lol).
Most of the reception staff were very helpful, and they were quick to respond to our requests and bring something to our room as needed. The breakfast, which we paid for in advance, was superb. Lots of options, and the staff attended to our needs and asked for our coffee orders. We had delicious espresso drinks each morning. Thanks, Alfred! The room we were given was tiny. It should not be a hotel room except at inferior properties. In Rosebank, at 4-star level, my room was awful. The bed took up most of the main room, and the toilet was squeezed between the shower and the sink in a space that reminded me of an airplane lavatory. Lastly, the night-shift manager at reception helped us out and she was sweet and competent. We had to solve a problem that emanated from the tour service the hotel uses as subcontractors. That company was awful! The hotel should sever all business ties with that company (Professional Passenger Services). I tried to book two guided tours with them, and they were incompetent, rude, dishonest, and scheming. Moments before my first tour started, they tried to raise the cost and "shake me down" for more money. I luckily did not take the tours. Still, the company submitted a bill (to my room) for one tour. The hotel manager fixed this and deleted the tour cost. I never received an apology from them. They are not "objective" people who should run the concierge desk at all. Crowne Plaza needs an "independent" concierge team.
