Arum is a Gift from Gift

The place was awesome. You could tell a lot of attention and thought was put into the details of how to make this comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Gift was a great host. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Arum place - our place- the place

Ligger i Mellvi, ett lugnt område utanför centrum. Kände inget obehag vid vistelse på kvällar. Värden fixade trots det transport till/från restauranger. Fantastiskt serviceminded värd som fixade allt från Tonicwatter till förslag på rundturer. Helt klart återkomma om vi passerar Johannesburg igen. Fin miljö, pool och en fin hemma hos känsla.

Lovely relaxing stay

We had a lovely night at Arum place - its a v quiet & clean place with v comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious & they were super helpful offering recommendations for local eats & excursions. Would stay again!

Wonderful hosts and great rooms

We stayed here for two separate stays on our trip to South Africa- the first time the room was stunning - huge and with beautiful new bath and shower in the room, plus free sweets and drinks. The second time was a slightly less nice room but still huge, well stocked and very comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent and the hosts were extremely kind offering to drive us down to local restaurants in the evening and pick us up. The resident pets are also an absolute delight to hang out with!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Arum Place Guest House. The room was beautifully appointed and the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed spending sometime lounging by the pool as well. We would definitely return and highly recommend!

Great stay!

Had a lovely time at Arum Place. Gladys and David were wonderful hosts; they even drove us to dinner each night. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

Exceeded our expectations. Very friendly hosts, excellent service., you want for nothing. Tea & coffee amply stocked, water, milk and juice in the fridge. Private entrance can come and go as you please. Tastefully decorated. Highly recommended.

Nice and convenient

Very nice place with all the amenities you need. Its location is very good, as you can walk around during the day, have a coffee or go shopping, which is not normal in many parts of JHB. The room was nice and big but the true highlight is Arum Place's owner, who even offers to drive you to restaurants in the evening and then picks you up again when you are done. A perfect service in a city where you usually prefer not to drive around in the dark by yourself. That service was awesome! We also enjoyed the two house dogs Minnie and Daisy very much :). Would definitely recommend this place.
