A great cabin! The lake is beautiful. The cabin is clean. It has everything you could need to enjoy your time. The only issue was the WiFi was spotty. I would definitely go back!
Quiet, peacful lake and great fishing. Kids also enjoyed tubing and swimming. Friendly neighborhood. House was clean and inviting. Thank you for a great get away!
Me and my family had the perfect getaway. We were far enough off the beaten path to relax but within reach of everything we needed at the same time. Our 9 year old and 14 year old absolutely loved staying on the lake -fishing, kayaking and just enjoying themselves. The house was a great place to stay!
The Popple Lake cabin was absolutely charming. The owners have provided more than is necessary for a wonderful time. The views of the lake, the sunsets and the quiet are the things dreams are made of.
We loved our stay at Popple Lake. The house was clean and well-appointed with towels, dishes, and other amenities. Beds were comfortable and lake views were calming. The location is a perfect home base for hiking and biking in the area. Highly recommend!
We felt at home in this comfortable lake house. The kitchen was very well supplied with whatever we needed, the home was very clean and the view was wonderful. Our stay was short but had time to enjoy the kayaks.
We will definitely try to stay here again!
clean and updated property well stocked with most anything you could need. We did a lot of Ice Age Trail hiking and it was nice relaxing on the dock at the end of day as the sun set. Hosts were easy to get a hold of and quick to respond.
Great place for a family get together.
The property is clean and well appointed.
Beautiful lake views and is right on the water.
Would definitely recommend
This was our 3rd stay at this property, and every year it’s better and better. Well stocked, great amenities, and property owner is super helpful with everything you may need. Highly recommend
Nice, clean place for a small family. We would have enjoyed closet space or at least hooks to hang up jackets and clothes (in the bathroom, too), but other than that it was very comfy.
My husband and I, two kids 4 and 6 and my parents enjoyed our stay at your place. It was perfect in many ways, quiet lake, your dock was great for fishing and the water was shallow enough for my littles to swim. The cabin was very clean and the open space is smart!
We would definitely come again! Thank you!!
Perfect for our weekend stay! Right on the lake and cabin/ house newly updated. Had some time to relax and toss a line into the lake right off the dock.
We were in town for our sons hockey games. Normally stay in Chippewa Falls, but loved this little get away off the beaten path but still super close to chippewa.
Owners were very attentive and property had everything we needed and more!
This is a beautiful home! It is furnished with everything you need (and more!) to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. We were the first guests of the season and loved every minute. We saw amazing sunsets from the dock, enjoyed morning coffee with breathtaking lake views, and caught plenty of pan fish off the dock and from our boat! We could just feel the stress floating away during our stay. We can't wait to return to this location again next year for our anniversary trip!
My daughters and I had an amazing vacation here. Everything we would possibly need was provided. Place was beautiful and clean. We loved being able to sit out on the dock and use the kayaks. The lake was clear for swimming and it was nice to have the aqua Lilly pad. It was nice to have a selection of games to play. Very peaceful!! We will be back. 😊
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin on Popple Lake. The host provided great communication. The property is accurately represented in the description and photos. It is modern and comfortable. What we enjoyed most was the proximity to the lake, watching the beautiful sunsets from the deck, and having access to many thoughtful amenities. From extra tolietries, to the wide array of kitchen supplies, to the kayaks, Lilypad and lifejackets - this is a well-stocked space. Thank you for everything!
The property was very clean. Appreciated that it had handicapped access so that I could bring my wheelchair bound husband out for a couple of visits. My 2 grandchildren ages 11 and 13 had a great time on the lily pad. The dock was easy to get to and easy to fish off of. Lots of bites but most of the fish were too small to keep. Fishing was fun because there was a lot of action. Hope to come back next summer for a few days. Also was nice that it was close to Eau Claire and Altoona so that we could go back and forth.
The property was very clean and the owners were very responsive. We enjoyed swimming and kayaking on the very calm lake. As some others mentioned, the wifi didn't work well for us. Just be prepared to cast from your phone to watch any tv. The a.c. was spotty but we didnt have issues with the temperature. hae
The house was beautiful. Very clean. We all loved the chairs as the end of the pier. The lily pad was a tremendous hit!! The lake was very clean water with very little weeds. The only thing that was a little deceiving from tge pictures was the actual yard and tge closeness of the neighbors. From the pictures the yard appeared much larger. We were able to still fit our cornhole game without problem. There also is a house and another pier very close. Luckily they were either not home most of the time or only came outside for a very small amount of time. Over all we have decided that we hope to return! We had so much fun!
The stay was relaxing. We enjoyed sitting on dock and catching small panfish and catfish.
The property is very nice. Modern appliances, new dock, and pretty much everything you need. There is sleeping for 10 in this unit! At the time of our stay, there were 2 bedrooms with queen beds and three futons in the common area.
The ac and heat are mini splits. We have the exact same system in our home. The instructions said not to touch the AC controls. I ignored this because the system was shut off when we got there, and because I have the same system and knew how to use it.
If you are looking for a place for a family or group, this rental is perfect. It was much bigger than my wife and I needed.
Popple Lake was supposed to have decent populations of Northern & Walleye. However, I didn't catch any. It was very warm and recent rains had the lake flowing out the outlet. Not the best conditions for fishing.
The host can't be held responsible for me not catching fish, so I'd I say it was as good of a stay as I could have hoped for.
I met a few of the neighbors. Everyone was very nice and welcoming.
The only thing that wasn't great was the wifi. Despite the host having left a wifi password, I found the wifi network to be an open network (no password required). The network was slow. The TVs are smart TVs which only use streaming services. We had difficulties watching TV without buffering. If you are watching TV, you aren't enjoying this property.
