Peaceful WATERFRONT Cottage Near Mystic and Casinos

  • Charming open floor plan lakeside cottage in Griswold, CT. Our rustic home has modern stylish touches and is directly on the lake. We have a dock for swimming, 2 kayaks for boating, and we have an elevated screened in porch for you to enjoy the waterfront views. Take in the sunset at dinner time or while using the outdoor firepit. There is a king sized loft bedroom upstairs and a second queen sized bedroom downstairs. There is one fully updated bathroom.

    The house is direct waterfront on Ashland Lake, a ponded section of the Pachaug River in Griswold, CT. You can fish, swim, kayak, canoe, and more right off the grassy backyard of our cottage home. Use our kayaks or bring your own if you prefer - you can boat right from our personal dock in the backyard.


    The house has an open concept two story living room when you walk in the door with a tv and plenty of seating, fully stocked kitchen, full bathroom, a queen sized bedroom, and a king size bedroom which has it's own sitting area and work desk. Pets are also welcome with a paid pet fee.

    Important: Sheets and towels ARE included with your stay. They are washed before and after every guest, feel free to use the laundry room during your stay as needed as well. We also provide a starter pack of paper towels, toilet paper, toiletries, cleaning products, soaps, detergent, sponges, k cups, nespresso pods, and tea!

Wonderful getaway destination

Had a quiet and relaxing time at the property. Beautiful view, and sunsets were amazing. Close to everything you could need, but nestled in a lovely neighborhood. The porch was definitely a highlight.

Amazing view's!

A nice place to get away from the stress of being a small business owner and to celebrate my birthday with family. Loved sitting on the porch in the morning and enjoying coffee and the ducks floating by. Also the amazing sunsets were wonderful!

Great weekend on the lake. Cottage is very cosy, it's clean and well maintained, easy to get to from the highway. Kayaks were great and there are no bigger boats on the lake so it was safe for the kids to kayak together too. We would stay again

A peaceful trip on a beautiful spto

This is a lovely property in a fantastic position and just what we needed for a weekend break from New York. The weather meant we didn’t really get a chance to use the outdoor areas as much as we’d hoped but we had everything we needed indoors. Michael responded really quickly to any questions we had and check-in and check-out were very easy. We’d highly recommend this cottage

Beautiful quiet location in SE Connecticut

We were attending a relatives wedding in Canterbury CT and found this property ideally located for this event. The property is a very cute cottage overlooking a peaceful body of water with resplendent fall colors at this time of the the year (Mid October).

Such a great trip!

We would stay again. The lake was clean and nice for kayaking and sitting and relaxing. Screen-in porch was great!!! No bugs, and very nice view of the lake. Couldn't ask for a more tranquil and relaxing setting. House was clean and the bathroom shower was amazing! 10/10!

Summer Vacation

We loved the cozy house right on the lake. The property is as cute as it looks. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and there are grocery stores close by. We had a wonderful time kayaking, relaxing in the sun, and making s’mores. We would definitely return!

Lovely and comfortable

Cottage in Connecticut

We rented the cottage property because it was close to family. Both the kitchen and bathroom has been update- we did not do any cooking during our stay so can’t comment on that area. But we really appreciate the instant hot water in the bathroom. We stayed in the upstairs bedroom which was comfy with lots of closet space and room.
