Charming Creekside cottage along a beautiful part of Pine Creek. Direct access to the 62 Mile top ranked Pine Creek Rail Trail (USA today Ranked one of the Top Ten Places to Bike Ride). Watch Bald Eagles soar above the creek as you enjoy your coffee. Our modern cabin hosts a full gourmet well equipped kitchen with Le Crueset, ScanPans, and all needed utensils to make fun and complete meals. The modern Bathroom features a full Slate shower room and has ample high quality towels for a full family. Our beds all feature high thread count bedding. The living room has a large Mountain stone fire place, a large leather genuine Stickley Settle and Recliner for your comfort. The cabin has new fiber high speed Wifi and a Verizon Cell Network Extender. It also has Direct TV with a large Flat Panel smart TV and Blu Ray player.
Outside you'll find a large deck overlooking Pine Creek. The deck has a large open area as well as a covered Deck area. Seating for everyone is available on the decks. The outdoor Fire pit is perfect for sitting by the Creek and enjoying a Fire daytime or under a Blanket of Bright Stars. We offer Hassel Free spilt, dry firewood onsite for your convenience. (No reason to buy by the bundle)
Walk out the back door to swim, fish, kayak, and enjoy the beauty of the Valley. Out the front door is a short walk to access the 62 mile Pine Creek Rail Trail. We are a Pet Friendly Cottage as well.

Cozy cabin

Booked the cabin to do an online course for work. Cabin was so cozy sitting right on the river. Evenings out by the fire pit looking up at the stars. Location was amazing. The Pine Creek Valley is a little hidden gem.

Great Getaway

The property is well maintained and cozy. Everything you need for a quiet getaway. Right along the Rails to Trails and Pine Creek. Our communication with the host was promptly answered. Our only issue was lack of cell service, and it’s only because we had to make some important calls during our time there. WIFI worked well.

Relaxing and Comfortable, A Great Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pine Creek Cottage. It was relaxing and comfortable, a great getaway. Great Location

My Wife and I love the location. Central to everything. The property/cabin was clean and well supplied with everything you need. The only complaint was the lighting in the bathroom was very dim, but other then that we had one of the most relaxing vacations in years. We will definitely be staying again.

What a blessing!

I can't even begin to state how wonderful it was to stay at this property. We LOVED the fireplace and that was a deal breaker for us. The location is absolutely beautiful. If you want a tranquil, beautiful place to get away, we highly recommend it. We most certainly hope to return in the very near future. We loved waking up and simply lounging on the sun porch, basking in the sunlight all day long with a magnificent view of the creek. Absolutely serene. Far from "roughing it" yet nestled in an area that harkens to the call of simpler days. The kitchen, bathroom, living room, sleeping areas, and deck are wonderfully supplied with all the comforts. Simply one of the best places at which we have ever been blessed to stay.

Problem

There was no light outside the entrance door and the deck was like an ice rink because outside the door was covered in LJ and mold, and it had been raining for days. I took a serious fall, sprain my ankle and banged my head and shoulder. I have reported this to the owner. He said he would give me a credit because we had to leave early, but I have not heard from him yet.

An Amazing Get-Away!!

This is the second year in a row that we have rented this cabin! We will most certainly do it again! It is spotless! The kitchen is filled with all sorts of appliances! Where have you ever stayed when they had an emulsifier to use???? A Kitchenaid mixer? Well, this place has those PLUS more! There were four adults in our crew and with it came plenty of room! A nice upgraded bathroom with PLENTY of hot water for the shower! There is a beautiful, well decorated living room and a great tv with cable(Dish)!! The DVD player kept us going at night when there wasn't something to watch that we wanted. (We brought our own movies!) As for outside...The deck is amazing! It is huge with a GREAT charcoal grill! And let me tell you,,,, THE FISH ARE THERE!! And they are biting! If you are into trout fishing, we had a blast! The entire 4 days were truly a blessing! Seriously consider checking out this cabin! The owner, Doug, responds within minutes with any questions that you may have! He is genuinely a great host!

If you love water and nature-this cabin is for you. The cabin is so close to the water. The outdoor living area is wonderful! Don’t like bugs-enjoy the creek from the padded seating in the dining room. The wall of windows makes it easy. We saw deer, turkey, eagles, fish and more. There is a small white water area which gives a relaxing background noise outside. The cabin is not nestled in woods and there is a string of houses on the creek- but the spacing keeps your privacy and was quiet.(This cabin toward the end of cabins). The bike path ( mile 43) is immediately outside the entrance for the cabins. Hint- when arriving Turn left after crossing the bike path and you will drive to the parking area. You can play in the water at the cabin-but not easy to get up/ down the bank. Steps with no rail narrow and odd angle. The floating dock is a foam matt. No standing or keeping dry. Overall cabin not for handicapped with single steps both inside and out. No cell service for Verizon in the cabin (booster not working), but one bar on deck. Could make brief calls. Internet both in/out of home and internet calls work well. Great modern bathroom and house clean. Very comfy. Has several electronics with tv- but I did not try any of them, including tv. Can stay at cabin or enjoy the many hiking, biking, water, nature spots in this part of PA. Not a lot of commercial stuff in area recommend bringing supplies. Friendly small store 8 miles away with limited basic stuff. Wanted to stay longer.

Great natural setting, lots of wild life and tons of green landscape. Very peaceful, the creek was clear, gentle but rocky. The kitchen was recently updated with a cool cement counter, and modern backsplash. The bath shower is very new too! The rest is decorated with rustic touches and very homey.What I wish I knew before going: There is NO cell service in the region. All of the businesses use WiFi, and the house has Wi-Fi, but you will have no cell service between destinations. There are biting black flies and Off does not work. Bring Skin So Soft! Also, bring some Off Backyard spray. Buy all of your paper products and bring them with (Towels, toilet paper, tissues, napkins, plates, etc.)
