We always stay here when going to NYC as the NJ PATH subway system is literally next door to the hotel

I would have rated stay as 5 star. But I checked into a room that smelled of smoke. I thought this was a non-smoking hotel. I would have expected the cleaners to air this room out or at least warn the next guest. Also, the water heating unit broke one night resulting in a very cold shower. Otherwise, very convenient place for a NYC city and the view of Manhattan from the area is outstanding.

Can’t beat this place for amenities. Newport Center across the road, PATH within 1 minute walk, local shops including a supermarket with 7 walk and did I say Manhattan city views across the river? This is the second time we have been here and are now extending our stay. The PATH access gives you access 1 stop into Manhattan at Christopher St or 2 stops into WTC. Perfect hotel for a long stay with a fridge, microwave and laundry facilities.

Early check in was a huge plus! Pool was nice for kids but could be updated/extra cleaned. Lobby was nice, and basic room was quite big with a decent view. Tons of food options and very convenient in all respects.

Staff were great! Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived as we were early so we sat by the fireplace on the comfy couches and waited. Staff knew we were there and as soon as the room was available they called my name. Beautiful views from New York with a 2 minute walk to the waterfront. Subway station right next to the hotel for easy access to Manhattan

I liked everything except for the WHITE BEDDING!!!! UGH!!! I felt like I was in a hospital, maybe a morgue. Add some color to the bedding please!! This was my second Christmas in a row staying at the Marriott.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location for shopping and traveling to NYC. Hot Tub was the bomb diggity! Starbucks coffee and great lounging area with a fireplace. Our goto option now!
