Excellent hotel and service. Gorgeous colonial architecture and feeling. Service is exceptional. Loved every inch of it and the calmness of the town. Excellent place for relaxation and sharing with the nature.
Property is very nice and the staff is great, however the beds are like sleeping on concrete. And the roads once you enter the property are terrible and will knock your teeth loose. Also they need to find a way to control the mosquitoes.
Cauca viejo is a beautiful area and the hotel is lovely with its Cauca viejo is beautiful and the hotel is lovely with its traditional architecture, colours and furniture
Good amenities with a well maintained pool, which the kids made extensive use of.
Only issue was that our diner turned into a bit of a debacle, with the entree disappearing from the promised 3 course diner and about 40mn for all mains to be delivered (granted, to our group of 9 adults). The worse bit was that the owner thought it would be best to make up stories rather than just say sorry, which we'd have been happy with. Breakfast was good but rest of the food was ordinary, worth exploring other places e.g. La Majoria in Penalica
Overall a very pleasant stay though.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Prepare yourself to be absolutely well taken care of in this stunningly beautiful place. It's off the beaten track but so relaxing and exclusive. The staff arranged everything for our stay they were wonderfully attentive and caring. I am definitely looking forward to coming back again and bringing the rest of my family. Our room was charming with its beautiful blue doors and antique décor. This is a vacation we will never forget.
