There were no suprises. The property was exactly as was described. We felt.very comfortable in the house and relaxed. We had everything we needed. No complaints. The host was very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay! The lake cottage was the perfect family getaway. Such a cozy space for a multigenerational family. The host was very responsive and the instructions made for an easy stay. Great way to ring in the new year!
Host was great to communicate with and very accommodating. I would like to communicate with the host about the cleanliness if she is willing. Overall, it was a great stay!
This was an ideal place to spend a birthday weekend with family. The house is beautiful, clean, had a nice view and was the right size for our party. The owner Anne is very easy to communicate with and responded to my inquiries immediately. She was gracious enough to allow us to extend our check-out time when I requested for it. Highly recommended. You get your money's worth.
We had a wonderful 5 days at the cottage over New Years! It was very cozy & had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed snow tubing nearby & an indoor water park. The wood burning stove was great & the view of the lake so relaxing. We will def be going back!
This lakefront rental has a great layout and beautiful mult-level lakefront patios. There’s plenty of room to spread out and feel at home! Sitting around the fire pit in the quiet of the night, while stargazing was perfect!
We enjoyed our stay and the amenities of the property!
Supplying beach towels was a plus!
This was a beautiful and thoroughly relaxing house! The pictures on the website are accurate and show the welcoming spaces and comfortable rooms. The lake view was a highlight as we enjoyed the many levels of the outdoor patios and fire pit, and the local area kept us busy too.The owner was kind and accommodating as well as responsive. I highly recommend this property.
We had a great time at Lake Jeff. The house is very clean and well-appointed: the kitchen is stocked, we had plenty of fresh linens, comfy couches, etc. We had the most relaxing weekend grilling and hanging out on the deck, playing board games, and exploring Jeffersonville, Livingston Manor and Roscoe. The owners were exceptionally helpful and communicative from booking to check-out. I highly recommend this cottage!
The house was a great cabin feel and authentic lake house. Good set up both indoors (bedrooms, kitchen, common space and bathrooms) and especially outdoors. Tons of room outside to sit and look at the amazing view of the lake, a specific place for a nightime camp fire and a personal dock at the lake. One thing to note is that the property is easy to miss when driving on the road since it is down a hill off the road but we found it.
My family enjoyed a memorable retreat together at this treasure on Lake Jeff. The property is gorgeous and is true to its representation in the photos. The whole family enjoyed fishing, swimming, going on adventures on the rowboat and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. There are many comfortable places to relax outside and enjoy the view. Jeffersonville is a short trip down the road for restaurants and shopping needs. We had one rainy day that we enjoyed playing games inside talking and making new family memories. We highly recommend this special location!
I can’t say enough good things about this lakehouse — it’s one of those rare finds that somehow feels even better than the pictures. The view of the water is unreal, especially at sunrise and sunset. You can sit on the deck for hours just listening to the trees and watching the light change. The inside is spotless, cozy, and perfectly curated — it feels like a boutique retreat, not just a rental. Every detail is thought out, like the little touches that make it feel like home. You can tell they really care about their guests and the property.Already planning my next stay here — I’d come back in a heartbeat

Beautiful home and property!
This home and property are gorgeous! Plenty of room for everyone in the house-there were 7 of us. It was amazing how many different seating areas there are outside. Even on the day it rained, we still enjoyed the views from the covered patio. Every evening we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. The fishing was great! We caught many and released them back into the lake. My sons enjoyed taking the boat out. The town is very close and everyone was very friendly. Ann was great to work with and very patient with my many questions. We will definitely be back!
We stayed at the cottage while attending a nearby music festival and could not have made a better choice. Cozy and comfortable is the best way to describe it. The lake views never get old especially in the morning with the fog resting on top of the water.
We found the house had all the amenities and plenty of clean towels and linens. The owners recently had some work done and the contractors didn’t return and hook everything correctly. We notified the owners and they bent over backwards to have it corrected. It wasn’t a big deal but we really appreciated how quickly they offered to take care of things.
Thanks for a great stay.

Relaxing and comfortable
My husband, dog and I just got back from Ann's Lake Jeff property. We had such a great time there. The house is so close to town which makes it easy to pop out and get supplies. We went to pecks market and also got dinner to go one night at spice cafe which was great. The inside of the house was cozy in a great way with a nice modern kitchen overlooking the lake. The master bedroom also overlooks the beautiful lake and has a large comfortable bed. We were at the house when the fall foliage was at its peak and it was stunning. We drove around Sullivan County and it was just picture perfect. The area of the house was nice and quiet, my husband caught a decent size brook trout that we released back into the water and saw two bald eagles over the lake and go to their nest in a close tree. We used both the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace. All in all it was a great three nights and would absolutely return. Ann was a gracious, thoughtful host who was always available and responded back quickly to emails.

Overpriced and disappointed
We chose the house for a fishing and swimming vacation for our extended family, including 3 teenaged boys. We were disappointed- the house and lake did not appear as nice as the pictures. The lake was not swimmable - it was green and appeared dirty. The house was tired and the yard was unkempt. There was broken glass in the cracks on the patio, and we noticed a pungent odor in the water, bathrooms, and hallway drain. The pictures do not represent what we experienced. We left 2 days early. While we were there we made the best of it and did enjoy fishing nearby, and family time on the stone patio. The house was fully stocked with all the linens and kitchen and bathroom supplies which was nice. We contacted the owner who did her best to accommodate us, however we were still disappointed. The house was not worth the price. We have stayed in many rentals, both summer and winter, and this is the first time we have been so disappointed that we left early.
Overall, we had a very nice vacation at the Lakehouse with another family. We had a few concerns I sent the owner Ann after our stay, and she responded promptly and was very open to hearing them.
We felt that the home was not cleaned as thoroughly as we thought it should be, being that the housekeeper was supposed to clean it prior to our stay. It was dusty, especially the 3rd floor, and we had to wipe down the kitchen, dining table and inside the fridge. There was also no single bed over the queen size bed like was shown in the photos in the listing. Two of the children were looking forward to using these "bunk beds" so that was a bit of a disappointment for them. We also didn't feel comfortable swimming in the lake due to it being murky and had a lot of algae on top. Of course, this was at no fault to the owner. But we did enjoy the rowboat they provided and also brought our own kayaks. We explored the lake and found some really beautiful spots with crystal clear water you could walk through. We really enjoyed the firepit and saw lots of animals which the kids got a kick out of- frogs, beavers, eagles and cranes. It was a beautiful spot for star gazing as well.
We ventured into the town a few times. Went to Tavern on Main which was a nice restaurant, as well as to Sprinkles, the adjoining ice cream shop. We visited a few parks closeby as well as a petting farm.
We very much enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay with extended family at this lakeside retreat. The view was great and there was some water in the lake; we saw fox, geese and ducks walking on the ice and swimming down the middle of the lake. It was a very cozy and comfortable house-great for kids and a dog. We did bring a stand-alone gate to confine the youngest (2) from some of the stairs.
I think the owner should be aware, however, that there was pervasive evidence of mice--droppings were found on the bedside tables, a few on the bed sheets, on the stove top, on the couch in the master bedroom, in bowls in the kitchen, and a lot along the window sills. We brought some lysol wipes and made the best of it (the house, aside from the droppings was very clean and lovely), but the droppings were a health concern, especially since we had young kids and a dog with us. We have lived in the country and understand that mice happen, but this was a little above our comfort level.
Overall, great stay, and we would consider returning if the rodent issue is addressed.
Ann’s beautiful Lake Jeff Cottage was the perfect home-base for our long weekend visit! The house is very spacious and very well appointed with beautiful antique pieces integrated into the decor. It has multiple wonderfully comfortable spaces for relaxing and a very well equipped modern kitchen. The location is perfect – right on the lake and about a 25 minute walk to town. One of our objectives in visiting in October was to see the fall foliage, and this cottage delivered! The view of the lake and its surroundings was gorgeous!!! We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
The cottage had everything we needed for a nice lakeside stay. The location was perfect as we attended a concert at Bethel Woods. The drive to Bethel Woods was slightly over 15 minutes.
The house was as pictured and was clean and welcoming. The common space was comfortable and the kitchen was able to host us for meals for 8. The parking was not as spacious after accumulation of ice, but we were able to make do. We were pleased and grateful for a comfortable getaway for the weekend
