Enjoy the large TV and fireplace in our huge library and see the carrousel collection! Relax in rocking chairs on the spacious covered back porch and witness the150 yr old magnolia tree! Our queen beds have memory foam mattresses and bamboo pillows! (Disclosure: There are cameras on the outside for security reasons only! Your privacy will not be violated! There are NO working cameras inside the house!)

Private Retreat

Had a wonderful stay. House is bigger than expected. Loved the tea and coffee bar! Bed was very comfortable! Very convenient to everything and in a quiet neighborhood! Will stay here again!

Enjoyed the house. Great location. House was actually much bigger than expected. If I had any thing short of five star, it would be in regards to cleanliness. Floors were dirty, as well as countertops in areas. However, it did not negatively impact our stay.

Beautiful home.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Gwyn was easy to communicate with and made the process very easy. We had our ‘Till death do us party’ at this home and it was perfect. The house is a lot bigger than i expected it to be. the pictures do not do it justice! the only issue i had with this place was the cleanliness. there was bobby-pins on the nightstand from the previous guest and a few other little things like water bottles and cobwebs. overall our stay was still very good. it’s a lovely place.

Not a comfortable stay.

They knew we had 6 guest and only had one half roll of toilet paper. Only one bathroom and we ran out of towels first day. Main issue is the house was hot and the ac quits during the night! Master bed feels like a thin foam pad on a board. Very uncomfortable!

My son and his wife and I stayed at this beautiful home. It was amazing. We loved every moment. We felt like doing a film or we were so inspired by the environment. It is so interesting and so beautiful and they chose the room with the pink curtains because it was like pink light was coming in. It was awesome and I slept so well and they slept so well. And Wendy. the woman that managed the property was probably the most wonderful person I have ever spoken to on the phone. She accommodated us and we were so grateful. We will only stay there, and we wanted to plan all of our trips to come to Jefferson. We loved it thank you Wendy!

Well-decorated home. Very close to town, and many homes in the area are “period” homes. Lots of antique shopping, but make sure to visit the Time and Measurement Museum. Wonderful visit to a great little town.

Girls Weekend Getaway!!

La Belle Maison was a step back in time. The setting was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our coffee on the back porch. The house was appointed with everything we needed. Conveniently located within walking distance to the Gone With The Wind Museum and Lyons Park. Truly a gem to be enjoyed in Jefferson, Texas.

Step Back in Time

The moment we stepped into La Belle Maison we felt as if we had stepped back in time. The home is gorgeous, filled with period furniture pieces and decorated with beautiful artwork. The beds were very comfortable and the room temperature was easily kept comfortable with the central system in conjunction with some wall heating units in the bedrooms. Overall a wonderful stay.

It was so pretty!!

We wanted to do a Christmas night in Jefferson to kick off the season and it was perfect!! Christmas trees decorated in all of the main rooms, the bedrooms were super cozy and the house is beautiful!

Gwyn was so accommodating. The whole process couldn’t have been easier. Cutest home in the middle of town, easy access to all the fun. This was our second time visiting and staying here and we all loved it very much.

Great Sisterly Get Away

My mother, her sister, and cousin (all in their 70s) spent 2 nights together and had the greatest time. They loved the house. The alarm went off unexpected the owner addressed right away. Jefferson is a quaint town and a great get away if you enjoy a slow laid back historic atmosphere. They would very much recommend to others wanting the same experience.
