Booked for a one night rest stop while driving. The staff we saw was very nice. The hotel is no frills, but clean and includes a hot breakfast. We did not use the pool facilities. Nice a quiet, we only saw 1 other guest. Wi-fi wasn't great, streaming tv options wouldn't play, but we didn't attempt to troubleshoot.

With Hotel.com earned rewards this stay was pretty much compt'ed. Dale is close to Santa Claus, IN (5 or 6 miles). The hotel was fine. I've stayed in worse. Don't know if I would have stayed if the room hadn't been discounted. It was alright

There was an outlet with things plugged in to it directly behind the left side mattress. The bathroom and shower have dubious looking grout. The pool was warm but the pool looked run down and grout could also use a good cleaning. The gumball machine downstairs had melted candy in it. The whole property is just kind of run down and worn out for the price they charge.

Breakfast- they dont have an extra waffle maker. Had a wait for 20mins to make my own waffles. I had breakfast at 9am and tables werent clean, trash was full, and hardly any eggs or sausages was left, but they replaced it after being there for 12mins. Wish they had yogurt, other fruit instead of apples, and enough creamer for the coffee because whatever coffee they used wasnt great. Pool was cold, and a bit dirty. Rooms- slept well , cleaned, and comfy. Front desk- friendly and took care of any issues with my bill.

The staff I encountered were helpful and doing their very best. The issues I had were due to understaffing. Before even walking into the hotel I noticed all the trash bins outside were overflowing. During breakfast the same worker was prepping breakfast, restocking, checking guests out, and cleaning up dirty floors. Our room was okay, but, definitely could have been cleaner. We had two floor lamps in our room- both were missing the knob to turn them on/off and one was missing a lamp shade so we had a bare bulb. We did ask for the lamps to be fixed and knobs were brought up and added in a timely fashion. The pull out couch mattress was just gross- large urine stain among other things. I couldn't let my child sleep on it. Overall, I appreciated the staff and their hard work but, I would not stay here again.

Property seems to lack in maintenance and upkeep. Our room had broken soap and shampoo dispensers and a moldy smell in the bathroom. Although, friendly staff and breakfast is decent. Not many options for hotel stay when visiting Holiday World so is possible we would return.

The photos are not representative of the hotel. The room smelled musty. The bathroom did not have much shampoo or body wash. The breakfast was quite stale. However, the staff was very polite and nice. We will not be back.

I will never stay at this property again. Air was off in our room and took hours to cool off. Front desk charged my card even after given a different form of payment and assured me he didn't. Room was dirty. Outsode doors propped open with rocks because the key entry didn't work allowing anyone to come in. The only worker there spoke and understood such little English that we couldn't get our concerns heard or addressed. Worst place I have ever stayed.

I like the fact that it had a pool and I like the fact that it had a gym what I didn't like is that a nite staff was not friendly and the room was dirty and he would not accommodate me by cleaning the room or even bringing me the things for me to clean it myself. Was very disappointed

Not too shabby
Hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was decent (eggs were not the best). The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious especially for having 5 people. The mattresses were beginning to feel their age (ours sagged when sleeping on it).

Gross other reviews are not accurate sadly!
We seen the great reviews about this hotel, and thought wow this will be great for the kids and us before our day at holiday world when you walked in the door of the hotel, it’s smells gross. Once we got to our room, we noticed mold on the alarm clock smelled like mildew one of the beds, even had little black hairs under the cover on the bedsheet when asked if someone could come change the bedsheets we were told no one was there at the time to do so, so we ended up sleeping on top of the comforters with our blankets we had brought definitely not how we planned our relaxing day before going to an amusement park. Sadly, the pictures on here and the reviews do not align with how this hotel really looks.

It was so noisy the first night we could hardly sleep with whoever was upstairs stomping, their feet or people yelling in the hallway. There was no shampoo, no conditioner and a blow dryer didn’t work. breakfast There was hardly enough seats and by the time I got down there,around 8:00 there were no eggs or bacon. Oh, and the Internet was down when we first got there . overall I would not go back.

The hotel needs some updating! The elevator worked, but a little scary! The hotel had a smell to it! The pool was a green color, the kids skin itched when they were done! The room was plenty big for 5 of us with the pullout couch. It served its purpose after a long day at Holiday World!
