The room was clean, very standard for this beautiful country! We got upgraded in rooms to a poolside room and we loved the view/ view of the beach as well! Jason at the front desk was very nice and informed us of all details of the hotel! We did come during the rainy season so it rained quite a bit but it was super pretty and breakfast was yummy! Everything was great!

The hotel has a perfect size to provide a private feeling. Relaxing on the beach and at the pool was wonderful. We stayed just 2 nights and were unlucky, having big waves in the sea so that swimming in the sea was not possible. But the pool was so warm an nice that this was not a big disadvantage. The breakfast was served as a choice of different possibilities and perfectly prepared. The staff was very friendly.

From the minute we got there, the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and restaurant were wonderful and the beach was very nice. The room was clean and functional and had a great view. The one thing that could have improved our stay was a small refrigerator or ice machine (the restaurant didn't have ice to spare, but there is a store nearby that had a ice). We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location

A lovely first night in Costa Rica. The hotel is literally on the beach front. The sound of the waves crashing was nice and it was like I was in my own personal sleep sounds app. I stayed in the best room - 201. Upstairs, facing the beach. 2 balconies. Room is bare, but has coffee machine and a bed, and that’s all I needed! Dinner was nice, as was the breakfast. The beach is ace. I stayed here just for the black sand.

We liked our room, it was spacious, had a fridge and comfy beds. The pool was clean amd relaxing with warm water. Not crowded. The beach is beautiful but waves were really strong...definitely not for swimming with kids. Food at the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast was not the buffet but overall filling. Birds as anywhere in Costa Rica were entertaining... especially a flock of macaws in a jungle area across the small street. I would return here again.

Wow, we unexpectedly had a 2 bedroom with full kitchen, and 2 tables with seating for 4. All rooms have views and the hotel is on the sand. It has a nice pool and good restaurant.

Ignore the negative reviews. They are from years ago before the hotel was torn down. This place is BRAND NEW!! I can't say enough positives about this hotel. Rooms are beautiful with great A/C, comfortable beds, and lovely decks. Location is right on the beach where the restaurant serves amazing food. The staff were the best - very helpful and accomodating. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!
