You'll have full access to the entire main house and the spacious backyard, including the charming garden shed—perfect for relaxing or enjoying some quiet time. Please note that the garage and the space above it are private and not accessible during your stay.
There’s parking available on-site in the driveway for up to 4 vehicles, but out of respect for our neighbors, we kindly ask guests to limit parking to 2–3 vehicles.
Beach access is free and just a short 3-minute walk from the house. While there are a few free public parking spots near the beach access points, they tend to fill up quickly—so we recommend parking at the house and walking over. To make your beach trips easy, we provide a beach wagon for all your essentials.
The Sandcastle is a cozy two-story beach cottage that feels like home the moment you walk in. Downstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms—each with a queen bed—and both open out through French doors to a covered patio. There's also a full bathroom on this floor, along with a relaxed living space that includes a little nook perfect for kids to play. The wet bar is a nice bonus, especially for keeping drinks and snacks handy after a trip to the beach.
Just beyond the patio is a peaceful garden house—a quiet spot to read, stretch, or simply unwind. The backyard is fully fenced, so it’s safe and private.
Upstairs, the primary bedroom features a king bed with access to a spacious full bathroom with a double vanity and walk-in shower (note: no bathtubs in either bathroom). The second-floor living room is spacious and full of light, with large windows running along the front and side of the house where you can catch beautiful views of the Atlantic.
The kitchen is updated and stocked with everything you’ll need to feel right at home. Just off the kitchen is a beautiful sunroom—surrounded by windows—that feels like a little treehouse. It’s a dreamy space for your morning coffee or to cool down after a sunny day.

The beach is less than a five-minute walk away (you’re right near Beach Access 2), and we provide a beach wagon to help carry your essentials. The area is peaceful and residential, mostly locals, and the beach itself is usually quiet—great for shelling and relaxing.
You’re just 8 minutes from the historic downtown, where you’ll find boutiques, antique shops, coffee spots, and some great restaurants. It’s a charming town with rich history, beautiful architecture, and a calendar full of lively events throughout the year. Amelia Island doesn’t have a formal public transportation system, so most guests find it easiest to get around by car. We recommend bringing a car or renting one during your stay—especially if you plan to explore the historic downtown, visit nearby parks, or check out restaurants and shops across the island.
That said, you’ll be just a 3-minute walk from Beach Access 2, and the neighborhood itself is quiet and walkable. Many guests enjoy morning strolls to the beach or evening walks around the area.
If you’re looking for a lift, taxis and ride-share services like Uber and Lyft are available, though wait times can vary—especially during peak seasons or island events.
There’s no train or subway service on Amelia Island, and bus service is limited. Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is the nearest major airport, about a 35–40 minute drive away.
𓇼 The home has three bedrooms in the main house: one king suite and two queen guest rooms. In the garden house, there’s a twin bed with a single trundle, which can sleep two additional guests; however, please note that bathroom access is located in the main house. We also have a queen sleeper sofa in the sunroom, which can accommodate two more guests, and a large bean bag that unfolds into a full-size bed, suitable for one to two additional guests. Altogether, the home comfortably sleeps 6 to 8 guests, with two extra sleep zones that can host up to 4 more if needed.
