"The room was clean, warm, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and polite, although we couldn’t find anyone at the bar when we wanted to check in and we couldn’t find a bell. It is an old building and the stairs to our room were quite steep and narrow and quite a lot of them. They allowed us to park in the car park for the two days, although we were only staying the one night."

"From the outside the Cornish Arms looks just like a local pub, but step inside and you instantly know it is anything but. It is very stylish indeed. Our room which was their standard double room,was very chic and we loved all the furnishings and attention to detail.It had a king size bed with high quality linen and was so comfy. We enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast too. "

"A village inn in essence, bigger than expected, well looked after and clean with pleasant, helpful staff. Plenty of parking and quiet. Good bar choice and would stay there again. The only slight letdown was the Sunday roast lunch which was over-cooked and tasted and looked like it had been kept warm for hours. The other meals were adequate."

The location means you can walk to the Hoe, Barbican readily, and the Drake Circus is 5 minutes away. If I return to Plymouth, I'd readily come back!! And the staff are great :) "
