Hotel Belvedere

8/10 Good

"I really enjoyed the hotel and all the amenities. The only issue was the room, specifically the air filter. I’m not sure the last time it was changed or when it was cleaned. Unfortunately, we had to leave the balcony door and other room window. When using the A/C we would become congested, and after further inspection it was due to the cleanliness of the filter (cobwebs, dust, and other sediment along the filter). Otherwise, the staff are great, the breakfast is a great energy boost in the morning, the spa is a great midday or night time relief, and the pool is refreshing. I also let the hotel staff know about this as well and they apologized for the room issue."

"The location is beautiful and we had a lake view room. Staff was very helpful. Sink drained slow in bathroom. We dealt with it but didn’t report it until our departure. Hotel dining immediately in front of the hotel and overlooking the lake was excellent as was staff. The lift(elevator) broke but they had it fixed within a couple of hours. The shower was small. Overall excellent hotel and would stay there again."

"This is an amazing hotel in many ways! The staff are incredibly warm and helpful; the location is fantastic --with breath-taking views; the swimming pools and spa are top-notch; the restaurant food and service are excellent. It is an easy walk to Stresa, where we enjoyed shopping and drinks. I simply cannot say enough good things about our stay! I give this hotel my highest recommendation."

"Beautiful resort hotel, located within walking distance to lots of restaurant and shopping. The beach is also a quick walk. The facilities were nice, the breakfast excellent and the beds were very comfortable (King bed). We also really appreciated the connecting rooms (we travelled with our teenagers). Overall, very nice."

"Room was great as a base to explore. We were only there for a quick breakfast and to sleep but beds were comfy, room quiet but could do with some modernisation of the bathroom shower. Overall a good hotel, close to San Giovanni station and a short 10 minute walk to the centre of Como. Breakfast typical of most hotels in Italy and would happily stay here again."
