Staff where great very nice and professional. Rooms are very dated and old fashioned, bathroom had long black hair on the floor. Good location but i wouldn't stay again

Gonen Hotel was a good stay little old fashion but staff were very polite and amazing to help customers specifically Mohamed and Idris they were amazing we hope next time we come to stay on a new room furniture an new flooring Definitely we recommend the stay and the area 🌸

The staff was very supportive and let me checked in at 9 AM which is very nice. During my stay, they helped me with luggage transfer and sharing with me the information about the public transportation which I found it very helpful. I highly recommend this place and I’d definitely get back to this hotel in the future.

The location is very central and convenient. The hotel is extremely dated and dark and not a 4 star in my opinion. In need of modernisation. The daily room service was poor and rushed. The reception staff was polite and helpful.

The Staff was really supportive and friendly. Especially the doorkeeper (unfortunately we forgot his name, at least we remember him stuttering a little) helped us a lot by giving us good advice and including the provision of a lighter ;) We also appreciated the gym, which is simple, but cozy. Hopefully the swimming-pool will be open next time.

Great Hotel

Wonderful Hotel at the corner of Taksim square, A must breakfast experience (rooftop) great food selection despite the vast variety of Turkish breakfast. Only issue for me was dealing with the small bathroom awkward design , My employee nomination goes to Sardan,( Bellman) After late check out on the major Holiday night I was waiting for my time to get a taxi and get dropped off by the bus station but since the drop off location was very close distance, taxi drivers would not want to go or become available at the request of receptionist , So It was a stressful situation and having 3 suitcases and carry on as well to deal with, Sardan informed the receptionist at the desk which he was going to help me and walk with me to get to the bus station and he grabbed and wheeled two bags and another two for me to deal with, it’s not what he has done for me, it’s about how he has done it with utmost respect to my needs at the time, well done Sardan and thank you again. And I am pretty familiar with Gonen Hotel chain. Fantastic and I will recommend this to anyone who wants to have a pleasant stay close the Taksim square.

Management and staff were amazing. Idris the manager was very kind, patient and accommodating. Others were working as a team to take care of the guests. They all deserve 5 stars. I usually don’t like to leave a negative reviews but I had to do it this time because I myself depend on the others reviews for my selections. Cleaning crew did not do a good job cleaning the room. They never touched sink. Left it dirty. But the most disappointing of all was the breakfast. I have traveled many times and never seen breakfast as bad as I had there. Hard boiled eggs cut in half and were very old and dry, really looked discussing. Fruits were not washed and some were rotten. Glass milk container was broken with a dollar size hole and crack on the side. I was feeling nauseated and couldn’t eat. We just had a cup of coffee from the machine and left. How about noise. Could not sleep the first two nights. Our room was facing the street and was across another hotel with restaurant. Noises of moving items until 1:30 am, after that adults conversations, police car sirens and more. Lack of sleep was getting to us. I talked to the manager and he offered another room on higher level. Much nicer and yes quiet. That was our Last night there. Idris make arrangements for our taxi pick up to airport next day. We truly appreciate his leadership and all accommodations he make for our comfort!!!!
