The breakfast needs to be updated, much of the food was inedible as had been sitting without adequate heating for a length of time. The variety has not changed for 23 years even though changed to Ramada. Need to provide more variety, too much bread without much to put on it.
The hotels location is very good, central but still quit and no noise from the street. The rooms were newly renovated and excactly as shown on the pictures. Very clean and conforted. The staff were very helpful and professional. The range in breakfast buffet were very big. The only negativ point in our stay was some of the other guests that were very noisy but the staff interfered immediatly when we made them aware of the bothering situation.
Excellent and spacy reception, Interiors pleasing to the eye. We were given rooms in the 6th floor. Rooms were just ok, no BIG DEAL.View from the window were terrible, you are almost at a handshake distance with the neighbourly building which had offices & this means, you need to draw your curtains, cant leave it open. My room in particular had water dripping into the thick carpet from the central AC duct. even after informing the hotel, nothing was done. If you are an international traveller and use the flat pin on your mobile charger or PC, DO NOT forget to take a universal adapter. Hotel will NOT lend you one. Instead they will suggest you walk down to the nearest store to buy one, Room service is pathetic. Most of the time, they will not understand you (conveniently) If you call them and ask them to replenish some (free) coffee powder in the room, they would come with a tray full of cups, kettle, hot water, sugar, coffee, some biscuits etc etc...and charge you 4TL for it, when all you wanted was one coffee sachet, which is suppose to be free in the room. Breakfast is not bad, had a fairly decent selection of stuff for a power breakfast. I personally liked it. . Lastly, try NOT to eat in the restaurants around these hotel, they will rip you off. better food with a better price can be found if you just leave this area. However, an italian restaurant on the same street is GOOD value for money.
Very decent hotel. I was a medical patient and stayed mostly inside the room for 4 days. Good service and good quality of the room. Had a double room alone (ordering a single). Roomservice was good and the food was good as well. Breakfast nothing special but the dinners were good and not too expensive.
Smiling staff and relatively ok pried hotel.
Would definetly recommend this hotel and would consider this hotel again.

Madison Hotel i Istanbul, ikke verdt det....
Utrolig dårlige senger (harde). Slitent bad. Dårlig frokost. Hyggelig betjening og veldig bra service. Perfekt beliggenhet. Slitsom papegøye i lobby'en :-)Har bodd på Elite World rett i nærheten og anbefaler absolutt det i stedet.

Madison Hotel
Great hotel, found the bed a bit harder than normal hotels. During my stay they where in a renovation stage, but overall very happy with the hotel. The staff where helpful and polite which is imperative if you are English speaking.
Though the hotel is located close to Taksim Square, it is still inconveniently located not within a main street. I constantly get harassed by commission men who yelled out "hello my friend" and they don't even know my name. These highly persistent men constantly tried to get me to visit or buy something and when you ignored them, they'll say something you don't understand as though they're chiding you. Besides, it is away from the main attractions such as the Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque.
Who's idea is it to have a parrot at the reception and it makes a lot of noise especially when my room is on the 1st floor?
In addition, the hotel staff is apathetic. While one staff offers to mail my postcard, he didn't specify that it would cost 2 TL per card when the post office is about 150 meters away. Even after I put stamps on the postcard they still demand for 1 TL per card so I walked. I'm not stingy but I hate not being given full information and it seemed like a scamp especially when I'm on my way to the airport.
Since breakfast is included with the room, don't expect great variety. The croissant is hard and most food is sub-standard. To make things worse, they rush people to finish as the time approaches 10 AM!
One day when I left room late, I added the "clean my room" card together with a button pressed down to get the maid to clean the room but instead, the card was stuffed under my door and the room wasn't done at all.
Luckily my experience in Istanbul was great and wasn't as marred by the service from this deplorable hotel.
As soon as I got there I had reservation for one kind bed smoking I go to the room its 2 small bed put together no ashtray acc didn’t work it was hot inside I had to open the window but it was too noisy outside the stuff they were rude didn’t speak good English and don’t exchange money from the hotel do it outside and when I got there I told them my last day here I have a flight that is schedule at 9 pm so can I check out at 5 pm first day they told me yes but the last day they told me know you can’t do that be very careful there couple of time stuff from the hotel walked in to my room without even knocking and when they saw me in the room they were like oh wrong room and they become very loud early in the morning on the hallway so pay more to get a better and more comfortable place
The Madison is a small hotel right off of Taksim Square in Istanbul. The area is quiet and secure. There are guard posts at the entrances to the neighborhood which check all traffic entering and leaving. The area is also full of small shops, grocers, restaurants, and bars. No need to travel far for all you need. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. They can assist you with tours and trips, as well as information on the nearby area and the city in general. I would recommend this hotel to all who like a nice comfortable place without spending a fortune. Istanbul is not the bargain it once was.

Fair for the money
Not extremely impressive but it has a good location and it is a good place to sleep when doing tourism. Access to the pool is not free - there is a small tax and the water had not a very good temperature (almost cold).

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Much better than other four star hotels and good price
Very good hotel if you compare with other so-called 4-star ones like the ridiculous Pera Rose Boutique. The location of Madison is excellent if you are planning on going out, shopping and seeing the real Istanbul. It will also be extremely convenient for tourisme as it is next to the best metro/tram station. Do not book a hotel in Sultanamet/Sirkeci area unless you love being stalked by people trying to sell you stuff. Note that Madison has a restaurant and that it is insanely ridiculously bad. But you have one of the best restaurants (Haci Abdullah) a few blocks away, so...
Bien situé près de Taksim square Service irréprochable. Dommage que les chambres soient un peu petites et que l'accès à la piscine, sauna soit en supplément (5 euros par personne)
