Ideal layout for us with space between the bedrooms and lounge and kitchen- meaning late to bed and early risers didn’t disturb each other. Beautiful views from the kitchen and lounge and ideally located next to shop and restaurant.
Host was very friendly. Location is great. The island is beautiful.

Lovely house in quiet location
Great house with plenty of space. Owner is lovely and has updated a lot of the rooms compared to the pictures. Quiet location, however Arran is so small that it's easy to get to everywhere with a short drive.
A lovely cosy stay in this beautiful cottage. Full of homely touches and everything you could ever need. Great bedding made for a lovely sleep! Enclosed front garden great for the dogs too! Loved it!

Lovely time on the west coast in Pirnmill
Thanks Hazel
Perfect location, beautiful sunsets, great walks up behind the house, brambles to pick, great restaurant "the lighthouse" beside residence, and the shop next to it makes for a perfect vacation. The kitchen is fully fitted out with everything needed to cook meals.
We had a great time and would enjoy coming again.
Fantastic property. Have given 4* for location as for us it was a little too far round the island. This is not to say the let information is misleading. More that I had not researched how long it takes to drive the local roads.
Hazel (the owner) has put in a lot of thoughts in making the property cosy and well equipped. The electrical appliances available in the property is unbelievable!!! This is the first self catering accommodation that I have come across that has so many gadgets for us to do the cooking. Awesome.

Special treat for my special birthday!
Visited Arran for the first time - a treat from my family for my upcoming special birthday - and they found this little treasure at Pirnmill! 6 of us staying and plenty of room with 3 good sized bedrooms, lovely big lounge with views over the sea and good sized kitchen with all appliances - even a washing machine and dryer which came in useful when one of us slipped and fell in the water! Cosy, comfortable and clean. Bonus of the Lighthouse restaurant next door which was lovely and then the local store - could not have chosen a better location for my first trip to Arran. Hazel was lovely and very welcoming. Would highly recommend.
The property was as advertised with views of the sound from all the front windows. It’s an older property with features but very homely and cosy in the evening. Very Amble kitchen space and having 3 bathrooms made it very pleasing for all concerned!
We had quite a lot of wet weather but we were able to enjoy sitting outside in the sun when it appeared. We were next door to a lovely village restaurant and shop which made it perfect.
I guess the only thing which would be difficult was for a less able person as the rooms have several steps from living space to bedroom., it wasn’t a problem for us.
The cottage was extremely clean and very well equipped. We also found it very spacious and found its 2 bathrooms extremely useful. However, had we been a party of 4/5, the refrigerator and ice box wouldn't really have been sufficient for our needs. The view outside the patio door is exceptional - you are situated on an elevated position looking straight out across the ocean to the Isle of Gigha with the Isles of Isla and Jura as a backdrop. We experienced several exquisite sunsets. The North Irish coast is also visible on a clear day. The cottage is only a 5 minute drive from the ferry to Gigha, which is a beautiful island with a lovely garden to visit. Overall the location of property is extremely difficult to beat. Communications with the host, Sue, were easy, and she was very helpful in taking care of most of our rubbish. Last, but not least, there was plenty of space for parking.
Lovely property with fabulous views. Good facilities and owner very helpful. We would definitely return . Having restaurant and shop next door a great bonus .
A very spacious and comfortable property in a wonderful location, just next to the restaurant and village shop. We very much enjoyed our short stay thank you!
We had a wonderful time on Arran and our stay at Hazel’s home was perfect. We had plenty of space and great views of the sea. The proximity to the lighthouse restaurant and pirnmill grocery was a great help. My husband and I were on arran 30 years ago and hope to return in a shorter time for our third visit. We would absolutely stay at Hazel’s again.
