One or two dogs are welcome. The pet fee is $20 per dog per night. And we require that they never get on the furniture or beds. Even good dogs can get anxious when left alone in a new place and that is when they damage things. So your dog must be in a crate if you leave him behind in the cabin. (We do not provide the crate.) To keep the cabin beautiful, you are responsible to pay for any damage caused by your dog. Because the extra cleaning will interfere with the cabin being ready for guests later that day, if there is damage or dog hair on the beds or furniture, then the extra cost is a minimum of $100.
You'll have access to the entire cabin including the hot tub, grill, fire pit, washer/dryer, and all the parking space outside! (RV's and camper trailers not allowed) Usually, there is propane for the grill and some wood to burn near the fire pit. If not, you're responsible for filling up the propane tank or getting fire wood at Robins Roost gas station just down the road.
I won't be present during your stay but am available for any questions or concerns. Please let me know and I'll be happy to help.
The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood as part of the Island Park Village Resort. Walking distance to the Golf Course (2 minutes). Short driving distance to the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park (25 minutes). Close to Henry's Fork on the Snake River. Also the cabin is within about five minutes of a couple restaurants and a gas station/grocery store where you can get anything you may need or forgot.
There isn't any public transportation in the area so you'll need to have a car to get around. There 700+ miles of trails that you can ride motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles etc on. We have ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles available for rent if you're looking for a different way to explore the area other than in a car. From mid-December to March you can depend on snow in Island Park. The roads are plowed well, but it would be a good idea to bring a vehicle that works well in the snow. A truck with clearance, 4WD or AWD is best.
Take an adventure on the hundreds of miles of trails for snowmobiles, UTVs, and ATVs right out the back door. We also rent out snowmobiles, UTVs, and ATVs as well and can arrange a rentals for you!
We ask that you do a couple simple things when checking out like take your trash to dumpster just down the street, load and start dishwasher, wash towels and leave them drying, pull sheets off of beds that are slept in and leave them on beds. We do this to make sure the cleaning service has enough time to get the cabin ready for the next guests and to keep fees lower for you.

This location suited our needs for space and beds available. The living room furniture is in need of replacement. Overall the condition of the property is clean but in need of an update ; i.e. pillows, bedding, etc.
There were no floor mats in the entry coming back in from the hot tub, and the floor tile is VERY slippery. This is a safety risk that should be addressed right away.
Everything was lovely and as described. Plenty of beds, lots of DVDs and games to choose from, nice firepit area, clean jacuzzi, vey spacious! Thank you for having us!
Overall everything was great. There was a small issue with the electricity in the rooms above the garage, but that was handled quickly when I talked with someone that just happened to stop by. We were comfortable and had what we needed.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this Island Park cabin. The amenities were as described, and the whole process was seamless. We had a pretty large group but plenty of room to enjoy the cabin inside and out. My only comment would be that the kitchen utensils and equipment could stand to be upgraded a little bit, and it could use an extra fan or 2 on warm days. But I'd still rate it high, and would totally stay there again.
This was a very nice area and enjoyed playing a few rounds of golf. It was nice that the grocery store was close by. One thing to note, they have the Smart TVs, so you need to have your own streaming service to log into to watch anything. That was the only thing we weren’t prepared for.
We loved the cabin in Island Park! It was very clean, there was plenty of room in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The location was close to a grocery store and restaurants. There was a 9 hole golf course just down the road. We enjoyed the hot tub and there were literally 100’s of movies to choose from! We would definitely stay again.
This house was exactly as described. It worked for our family of 8 perfectly. It’s a quiet neighborhood. And the house is well maintained. The only co structure feedback would be that the kitchen accessories (skillets, bowls) are limited and the skillets are very worn. But we made it work and would come back!
Place could be cleaner. No fireplace remote. No remote for tv downstairs. Lightbulbs out thru out the house. Place was very dark at night. Couch broken downstairs. Ceiling fan not working. Not enough wash cloths. Dryer full of towels when we arrived.

Don't do it!
First, let me say that this is a lovely little home. Unfortunately, it was not clean when we arrived. It was late, we had been driving 10 hours so I did a little cleaning and emailed the property manager. She promptly emailed me back and said cleaners would contact us in the morning; they did not. Things only got worse from there. Although we sent photos of the grimey wet wipes covered with dirt and hair, that I used to clean, the dirty carpet and gross shower curtain and kitchen appliances, we did not hear back. When we inquired about waiving our cleaning deposit we did hear back. It was implied that we were trying to scam them. We were not. We've stayed in vacay rentals from Portland Oregon to Portland Maine to Paris France and have always had great experiences. The treatment we received by Park Island rentals through Homeaway was unprofessional and insulting. CANNOT recommend Park Island rentals in good faith. Renter beware!
We had an amazing time. The cabin is at the end of a quiet cul de sac with lots of parking. The kitchen and living room open area was a great place to hang out for meals and games. The beds were great and there was plenty of room without being crowded. The outdoor space was awesome. We really enjoyed the front porch in the evenings and the hot tub after dark. The kitchen was pretty well stocked. Only issue is a few of the frying pans are pretty worn but there was an electric griddle that worked great. Definitely recommend
In this house, you are paying for convenience and a great amount of beds. However, not very clean. A lot of the pots and pans were scratched up, the showers, and kitchen floor were dirty. You pay for a cleaning fee but have to strip all beds, wash AND dry towels, and take trash out to a "maintenance facility" that was impossible to find. It was a nice stay overall, but those above issues is something to consider.
This cabin worked out well for our family of 9. The location was convenient and we all slept comfortably in the beds. There were plenty of towels which we appreciated. It had everything we needed but not a lot of extras. Just one small pillow per sleep space, minimal kitchen utensils (not enough spoons for each person for example and only one tiny Tupperware container. It gets a little warm in the bedrooms, but the fans helped with that. We would have liked to have a table outside (maybe just a fold up one) in order to sit on the the front porch for a mela or coffee. A pack n play for the baby would have been nice to avoid having to travel with it, but my toddler loved the bunk beds! Even the top bunk felt safe for her due to the rails. Overall, it worked out well for our family trip to Yellowstone!
