Winter Note: During the winter season, a skid steer is stored in the garage. It takes up only a small portion of the space, and the majority of the garage remains available for guest use.
Large snowmobile trailers, including longer enclosed setups, are welcome.
Guest access Guests have access to both indoor and outdoor spaces for dining and entertaining. There is a spacious and fully stocked kitchen for cooking, as well as a large porch with a BBQ. There is a common area, a living and dining room downstairs and a loft and two bedroom upstairs.
Other things to note This house can accommodate large trailers. However, be aware that during winter months this area can get a very large amount of snow (1 foot in 24 hours which is exacerbated by drifts due to strong winds) in a short period of time and even though we do our absolute best to plow the roads the crews can be overwhelmed during such times. If you plan to bring trailers then bring them at your own risk. We do not guarantee we can accommodate such a large trailer during winter storms.
Guests should be aware that this cabin is in the forest/woods which is home to many creatures big and small. Although there is a pest control company that comes frequently, some of the tiny ones may get into the cabin from time to time. NO REFUNDS will be granted because someone saw a spider, a fly, a wasp, a mouse, an ant, etc.
You will be asked to agree an outside contract that clarifies the details and ensures proper expectations on both sides.

The house was great! We went with family to celebrate an early Thanksgiving dinner and site see! The house had everything we needed! The hosts were great with communication and very friendly! We would definitely stay there again!!
Amazing place. Extremely clean. Quiet neighborhood. Hot tub was excellent to come back to after trips to Yellowstone one day and the grand Tetons the other day.
The cabin was perfect for two young families getting together to enjoy Island Park. The cabin was very clean, check in was a breeze, and the location was great. We enjoyed the hot tub and the great views of the Tetons from the property! We also appreciated having access to the garage. Would stay again!
7 of us stayed here while Backcountry snowmobiling. Everything about the place worked perfect for what we needed. The garage was a huge bonus for working on sleds. And the hottub was very nice to have.
Beautiful home! We had a couple of issues but a quick message to Chris and he immediately had an answer and took care of everything. Great location for Yellowstone.
We came to Island Park for a fall UTV ride. The house was perfect for two couples. The circle driveway was great for trailer parking and access to the garage was a plus. The house had everything that we needed. Thank you Chris for hosting us.
We had a great stay at this property. The hot tub was a great perk to help us relax after busy days in Yellowstone. Plenty of room for our party of 9. Our only wish would have been for some grass for the kids to have played outside more. A lot of things to explore right in Island Park if you want to take a break from Yellowstone. Big Springs Park, ATV trails and Sawtelle Peak were highlights for the whole family!
Our cabin was very accommodating for our family, and this was our first trip to Yellowstone. We all enjoyed all the beautiful sights and coming back to cabin and grilling and sitting by the fire pit. The kids liked that they had their own beds. It would be nice to have a tv upstairs in a bedroom for the second couple. I would recommend staying here. Nice Cabin!❤️
We had a wonderful experience. The host was very informative about the local area, providing a wealth of recommendations for places to visit, dining options, and upcoming events. Communication was prompt and responsive to any questions we had. The only issue was the ongoing roadwork approximately a mile from the property. Fortunately, our SUV allowed us to navigate the muddy and uneven conditions more easily; however, we understand that other vehicles may have encountered difficulties. ***Please note that this situation is entirely outside of the host's control. We simply wanted to make others aware of the current conditions.****
We had 4 adults and two kids on our family vacation and this home was perfect for our needs. We had plenty of room to spread out after a long day of fun in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We also really enjoyed the use of the hot tub at the end of each day. The house is
far enough away from everything that you feel like you have some privacy, but we didn't feel like anything we needed was too far away when we needed it (gas/groceries/etc). Check in was simple and we very much appreciated the easy check-out process as we had an extremely early flight on check-out day (short simple list of items to complete before leaving the house unlike some of the more complex lists of to-dos we've seen in other rentals). Everything was clean and comfortable. Thank you again for hosting our family for our vacation!
Great location with mountain views on two sides. The house itself is very nice; beds were very comfy. House is fully stocked with enough linens, bed sheets, and kitchenware; really nice not having to lug that sort of stuff along for the trip. Communication with the owner was extremely good with helpful information regarding the area and things to do while staying at the property.Overall location is great with things to do around Island Park and a short drive to Yellowstone (30 min away). Also, there are hiking trails to explore at the nearby National Forest campgrounds. We definitely would book this property again!
The location was great with a wonderful community and perfect distance from the West Entrance to Yellowstone. Place was peaceful, clean & provided good chill time after a full day in Yellowstone.
This cabin worked well for us on our snowmobile trip. 6 adults. The garage can hold 7-8 snowmobiles. The driveway was big enough for 2 large enclosed trailers.
There were 9 of us that stayed in the cabin and we all absolutely LOVED it. It was very clean and had everything you needed for the week we were there. The owners were very fast to respond to any questions I had while we were there. We will definitely be returning next time we plan another trip to Yellowstone!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication
It was my 59th stay in island park for snowmobiling, we have stayed at a lot of different places and unfortunately with the stove problems we had and the worst snow removal company in island park I would never stay here again. Great communication up till we had a problem then crickets. Sorry but I won’t be back
It was a perfect, comfortable cabin for our families and kids. The only things I would suggest for future stays are better pans to cook larger meals in, a baby gate for the stairs and better toilet paper. Minus those small things it was a great, central location, for all of the things we planned.
It was easy to check in , come and go, clean up, and a great set up for multiple families. Everyone loved the hot tub and nice showers.
I would also suggest LOTS of bug spray for the kids playing outside. My son and nephew played outside almost the entire time ( August) and my son got a tick bite that tested positive for Lyme disease. Obviously, no fault of anyone but for anyone who thinks its not in Idaho... it is!! (Not just in Island park, all outdoor areas where ticks could be)
