Other Things to Note:
What to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling? A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!

The cabin was beautiful. We had plenty of room for everyone. The only problem I had was that the listing makes it seem secluded but neighbors are very close and on all sides of the cabin. It was still a quiet clean location.
Great place! There were a couple of very small negatives we addressed with the property mgmt company; but, other than that - it was a fabulous place! Lots of room, beautiful setting, and about 30 minutes gorgeous drive to West Yellowstone. We'll try to book again!!
Everything went great for a party of 10. Only thing for our party was the washer and dryer being in the downstairs bathroom, but not a game changer by no means. Seeing a moose in our front yard one night was awesome. My wife would have liked a few more kitchen towels, since there’s no dishwasher. I would recommend this cabin, very unique on the inside. All of us loved it
Pro's - First of all want to Thank the Baker's for allowing us to stay in your Beautiful Cabin. The location is about 35 min from Yellowstone which was the purpose of our trip..(If buying grocery go to the little supermarket inside west Yellowstone much cheaper and more variety).Than the robins Roost- The communication between rental place and myself was excellent. The Internet was absolutely horrible but Cheri was amazing and helped with everything she could even brought us some WiFi jet packs to use, which was better than nothing. Plenty of space for our party of 11, everyone slept comfortable the beds were awesome.. And mid stay they came to check on us to make sure everything was going OK.
Con's - The yard is kind of small especially with 4 smaller children, which we stayed home one day but there is so much to see and do around the location. Warning though the stairs are slick as snot if you have socks on! And the BBQ grill had to be cleaned before we could use it, it was pretty nasty from previous rentals. And the trash is picked up on Mondays and Fridays but if you have extra the landfill is closed on Wed and Thur. So we had to make do and take some of our trash on thurs. with us because we were departing on Friday.
Overall it was well worth the trip From Missouri to Idaho you will not be sorry.
Thanks again for sharing your place with us

Our family loved our stay at this cabin! Beautiful location and the cabin was clean and well stocked. Convenient location to both West Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. The drive was a bit longer to the Grand Tetons, approx. 2.5 hrs., but the beautiful views made it well worth it!
The master bath is NOT connected to the bedroom and the cabin is located in a small community. Showers are small if you are a big person. Overall pretty good.
We didn't spend too much time at the cabin but it was nice and got the job done. 45 min drive to the West Yellowstone entrance and 2 hr drive to Jackson.
Our stay was pretty good. The cabin is on a neighborhood so it’s not as peaceful as we thought. There are a lot or off road vehicles. The beds were comfortable and the cabin well kept. The kitchen is fully stocked. Wifi works the best when you sit at the kitchen table. The boat dock was not in the water.
The Lazy Moose Cabin definitely lived up to it's name. We were able to enjoy it's calming atmosphere and just be lazy. Would highly recommend. Super clean. Super inviting, Overall Super!
We had a great stay at the Lazy Moose Cabin. It was a PERFECT place to relax and unwind after long days on the trails in Yellowstone. Great beds, plenty of room, and a well stocked kitchen. Our family loved it!!!
We loved our stay at this cabin. It looked exactly like the photos and was just beautiful. The rustic atmosphere added to our Yellowstone trip. It was a great place to come back to after hiking and sightseeing in Yellowstone all day.
I especially enjoyed a good soak in the clawfoot tub at the end of my day and a walk around the area at the beginning of each day. One morning we were fortunate enough to see a mother moose and her calf.
The only thing my son thought we needed was a guitar. :)

Overall A nice place to stay
Started as a frustration because the "made up direction/ instructions" given to to us going to the property was missing important and some unnecessary landmarks. We had to call the emergency phone number to get a live person to stay on the phone and walk us through while we drive to the property. The property was very clean and has everything you would expect while you're there. Except when we were getting ready to prepare for bed, we noticed that the blankets and Pillows smelled like they were not washed in a long time, that people slept on them and put away without being washed. We expected them to smell fresh, so we did a lot of laundry our first night. And the rest of the stay was all good. Kitchen is equipped with almost everything you'd need, including spices. All rooms, the bathrooms and bedrooms, kitchen, LR, are nice and clean.
Thank you for sharing your cabin.
We enjoyed our stay at LAZY MOOSE CABIN.
everything was as advertised not far from Yellowstone national park and horseback riding which the kids enjoyed
We would stay there again in the future.
We had a beautiful experience in Island Park. Our stay at the Lazy moose cabin was great we loved it we would stay there again everything was clean and the area is beautiful we enjoyed the nature.
Loved staying at the Lazy Moose cabin! Perfect location to go back and forth through the West Yellowstone gate. 30 minute drive to Mesa Falls as well. Great location in the country, but still within a short drive to things. Highly recommend! Very clean and lovely cabin with everything you need. A short walk to your own private dock as well.
We had a lovely stay at Lazy Moose Cabin. Great location, near river. Close to Yellowstone West gate. Horseback riding nearby which was fun. Bike/UTV course nearby. Quite location. Great firepit area for smores and hotdogs. Good internet for teens when we weren't out and about. Satelite TV. Nice neighbors. Loved our stay.
We were very satisfied with our stay! Fantastic location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It is in a great location, right off the water. There is lots to do around the area and it is in close enough proximity to Yellowstone National Park to enjoy all that it has to offer. There are many ATV/UTV trails right by the property if you are into that. It was hard to tell from the photos, but the bedrooms were very good size. You could easily and comfortably fit 3 families in this cabin. The charm and character of the cabin were very nice, and we enjoyed the decor thoroughly. The only reason I did 4 stars for cleanliness was there was a slight misunderstanding with our arrival, but it was remedied quickly. We enjoyed using both the firepit and the fireplace. We are overall very happy with our stay and would stay there again.
