Other Things to Note:
What to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling? A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!

We really enjoyed our stay. Quiet location, fresh air, comfortable yet rustic cabin, and affordable. worth every penny!
Just what the Dr ordered for this couple - stress free quality time together.
We enjoyed staying at Copper Pond West. It was a great location for Yellowstone and Tetons. Home was exactly as advertised. It was clean and had pretty much everything we needed.
The location was close enough to Yellowstone and also had attractions to go to within 15 minutes… hiking, tubing/kayaking, horseback riding. The view was peaceful and stunning. Beautiful, clean
Cabin.
We had a great time. Communication with the property manager/host was not as responsive as I would expect but there were no major issues so it wasn’t that big of a deal. The house was nice and the views were absolutely gorgeous!
This location was close enough to Yellowstone that we could get all of adventures in and yet it was far enough out of the hustle on West Yellowstone. Very relaxing and the neighborhood was very quite. The only issue was that there was no TV channels. Had I read that part I would have brought a firestick or Roku from home. : )
The home is beautiful with the large timber frames, the location was amazing and the view…. Million dollar. My only recommendation is the kitchen needs to be better equipped. There was only 1 large pot ( no other pots) and 1 frying pan but did have 3 crockpots I guess this is a first world problem but it did make it inconvenient to cook having to wash the one pot in order to cook something else . Over all, we would return and recommend
Cabin was clean and week set you. Only issue was the bed upstairs was so hard and uncomfortable. Hopefully the replace mattress soon.
Unable to even sleep on bed.
My husband and I brought my father out to Yellowstone and we stayed here for 7 nights. Finding the cabin and check-in were a breeze. Plenty of room for larger groups/families to stay. The bluebirds came to visit, as well as a beutiful red fox in the yard. And down the road we saw a bunch of moose! We went to a grocery store about an hour away on a rainy day so I could cook dinners and make sandwiches for the days in the park. (There is a small grocery store 3 min away and one right in west Yellowstone as you are leaving the park too). Overall, the cabin was perfect! From the location, the wildlife and how comfortable it was!
Nice location from which we based our fishing and sightseeing excursions into Yellowstone, on the Henry's Fork and on the Madison. Comfortable and nicely furnished home. Two families stayed and enjoyed our time. Would be great if they added WiFi!
Copper Pond is a Beautiful cabin, beds very comfortable, fully stocked cabin, great Mountain View’s with livestock and wildlife too. Convenient location to West Yellowstone entrance, Henry’s lake, streams, rivers and those who like to hike, hunt, or off road trailing. I definitely recommend this property for anyone! Idaho Fantastic!

Some items needing attention
We enjoyed our stay here. The property was large enough for our party and well laid out for our purposes. We noted a few things that could use some attention:
Several posts on the deck railing move if you lean on them, this could be a safety issue
A teapot or tea kettle in the kitchen would have been useful
Plastic tumblers in the bathrooms for brushing teeth would be good to have
Reading lights in the bedrooms would be good, the existing lights are focussed on the center of the bed
We had a great time and loved the cabin! The cabin has a beautiful view of the mountains. We had some good laughs watching golfers from the kitchen table. We were there in July, and it did get really warm in the upstairs rooms a few nights. There is not air conditioning, so we opened windows and turned-on ceiling fans but still needed a small fan in the window to pull air through. They do not have box fans, so I recommend taking a small fan if going in warmer summer months. There is not a great grocery store nearby. There is a gas station with smaller store at the subdivision entrance, but they did not have everything we needed and charged $10 for a case of water. We drove to West Yellowstone Super Market for groceries, and you will pay triple the price on almost everything. I recommend stopping by a large grocery store on your way in because the closest Wal-Mart was 1.5 hours away. We would definitely stay here again. The drive to Yellowstone and Tetons was very convenient to our location. Check out the Wild West Rodeo just a short drive toward Yellowstone and you will not regret it!
Nice cabin with a good location but couldn’t get a response back from the management about some pro.
Cabin was nice and clean and was in a good location. When we arrived the dish washer had leaked all over the kitchen floor. We could not get a hold of anyone to fix the problem. We ended up just shutting off the water to the dishwasher. Then the code for the trash dumpster wouldn’t work and we got no response until we had left. One of the beds kept falling off the bed frame because they were to short. And another one of the mattresses was very uncomfortable.

In house amenities
It was a very nice house and good location. The 2 big problems were that the property does not have Wifi nor cable television and I was unable to do urgent office work while there. These are normal items everyone would expect in a house like this. The listing should have a bigger warning that this does not exist, as most people would assume it does.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and found so many things great - it was clean, had a great location and fit our family of 6. It was on the edge of the golf course, so it was a beautiful scene to wake up to each morning.
The kitchen wasn't as stocked as it indicated on the listing - there was only one skillet to cook with (which made it hard to cook more than one thing at a time), few measuring instruments (cups / tsp / tbsp, so baking was tricky), and few spices. Other than that, we had the things we needed. We used the grill, griddle and fridge.
The beds were pretty hard - new mattresses in the future would be helpful. But, the bedding was great and clean.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!
My family enjoyed staying here on our little getaway. The house was very clean and comfortable. The porch has nice views. I would definitely recommend.
