Love the Hotel Floridiana. Have stayed here at least three times. The decor is cool and refreshing. The large swimming people is wonderful, temperature comfortable to stay in for hours. Located on the Main Street, near restaurants and shops.

Front desk reception Adolfo (may have spelling wrong) was kind, knowledgeable, and able to speak English. Our room was clean, terrace was a wonderful bonus, and quiet during the night. We had the breakfast buffet which was great. Close to the ferry, bus, and plenty of shops. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel within walking distance of the Ischia Porto ferries. Perfect location on the main street, amid the shops and restaurants. Set back from the street, so quiet. Room was a bit "tired" but spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. The clientele are almost all Italian, many elderly, but this means that the hotel and grounds are quiet! There are rules for the main pool - no diving, wear a swimming cap - but there is no loutish behaviour and you can have a relaxed swim. The choice and quality of the breakfast buffet is AMAZING and the staff are on hand to supply endless coffees. There's usually a scrum at a hotel breakfast buffet but nothing like that here. Plenty of room for everyone, plenty of tables, no queuing, I'd go back for that experience alone!

A perfect holiday on the Island of Ischia.

Our very recent 6 night stay at Hotel Floridiana Terme was very memorable and enjoyable. A perfect holiday location. We loved interacting with LUCIA at Reception who was very helpful and genuinely wanted us to have a great stay on the island of Ischia. She appeared to really love her job and her enthusiasm made our interactions with her so pleasant. The hotel itself impressed us. We had a room with a view of the pool and the sea, just like in the photo. The buffet breakfasts were varied, delicious and substantial. Waiting staff were really friendly, attentive and obliging. The pools and surrounding areas were kept very clean. This is a 10/10 location. We are now back in Australia with a maximum of 12 degrees today!! We woke up every morning and said to each other...another day in Paradise.

Staff demanded we pay cash for certain items during our stay. This is an issue all over Italy with taxi drivers and businesses demanding cash and then overcharging. This hotel was no exception. Nonsense. FYI: it's against the law in Italy to do this. All businesses must accept credit cards for everytjing, including taxi drivers. They're crooks otherwise. We had to wear shower caps in the pool as though out of a 60s film. Refused to give tap water at dinner and charged 4 euro for a bottle of water. Hotel was a maze with hidden spots for the lift. Elderly population visits the hotel which was probably the best part for me as they were quiet and kind; however, this isnt a hotel for all age groups. Tiny TV with local channels only. No toiletries in the room. I was bitten alive from bugs and mosquitoes in my room. Dining staff and cleaning staff were excellent, and the hotel is centrally located about half a mile from the port and the only reasons I give this any stars.

Floridiana Terme is ideally located between Ischia Porto and Ischia Ponte, along one of the main street with many shopping and dining options, and close to the sea. While not having a direct sea access (although there is a pathway that gets there in less than 5 minutes), it more than makes up for it with its large pool surrounded by trees, and the rooms with sea views are wonderful. The staff is lovely and breakfast a definite plus as their pastry chef whip up delicious options.

Trip to Ischia

Hotel located on a Main Street in convent location to shopping and restaurants. The beach is behind the hotel mostly used by locals. The rooms are small and the air conditioner is pre set to 19F. Internet is not working for the US travelers and TV has one Chanel in English. Most guests are from Italy. The spa treatments are extra and you need to ask at the front desk. Food was average not much in vegetables .Good baked tarts. Would look for another hotel that offers more modern conveniences.

Here's my story. I'm a travel writer. I stayed at two luxury termes before Floridiana, then I couldn't leave beautiful Ischia so I booked this hotel based on reviews, locations and pics. A total winner. They upgraded me to a duplex suite, the grounds are very pretty, the variety of pools is excellent, and it's close to cafes and the lovely, swimmable beach. It will be my go-to in Ischia from now on.
