9/10 Wonderful! (3,280 reviews)
We stayed here in January and I have to say the customer service we received was probably some of the best I have ever experienced, and I travel A LOT. We wanted to upgrade our room, and the staff were fantastic as finding us an option at ocean front, while giving us a rate that we could still afford. And the upgrade was WORTH IT, I highly suggest ocean front. While there we had our baht tub clog up, and they were good to make sure it got taken care of. Our flight home also got cancelled, and it was during the PGA tour so all the rooms were practically full but they worked their magic and found us a room for a night so we didn't have to shuffle hotels or find altnerate options. They were very considerate of our circumstances and gave us a few vouchers. The initial room was had had a walk in closet, 2 double beds and a pull out couch. It had all the ammenities you could want in a room. The pool area is busy, I don't love that Duke's is RIGHT behind you, it is very loud when you area already on the main beach that is busy. But we still loved having access to the beach and usually sat in the shade on the lower patio which was nice. The wait staff at the pool are great, and the nightly music at Dukes barefoot bar was so convenient to have on site. The mall is also right across the street, so it is very close to all things Waikiki. We also loved Maui Brewing happy hour across the street. There is also an ABC and stores downstairs for quick grab items. Highly recommend!

8.6/10 Excellent! (3,386 reviews)
We expected a lot more from this “resort” given the price tag.
The room was quite dated. There was mould on the light fitting as you walk on the door plus a large stain on the ceiling. The pillows were horrendous. The shower was the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel. The water pressure kept changing and then would be non existent with just a dribble coming out before turning freezing cold, then boiling hot.
I booked a massage in the “spa” only to find that it was a treatment room in the gym. You are handed a robe and a pair of rubber slippers and told change in the locker room. You are then sat in the entrance to the gym to wait for your massage therapist. For USD220 for a massage I expected a lot more.
The pool area is nice with a good vibe and the hotel is in a good location.
All in all we were very disappointed in our stay and if we ever come to Hawaii again we will stay elsewhere.

Staff was very friendly but we traveled with a wheelchair user and after calling twice to confirm an accessible room and assured we had booked one, was informed that they only could provide a partially accessible room (which has a bathtub in it when someone who is paralyzed is impossible to use). ...
