From booking to check-out, it was a wonderful experience. The communication was excellent and I appreciated the quick and helpful responses. Check-in was easy. The home was beautiful and exactly like the photos. Rooms was clean and well-stocked. All furniture and beds were comfortable. The property is beautiful and very quiet and peaceful. We hope to return in the future. Thank you!
What a nice house on a nice piece of property! House is clean and tidy, comfortable. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay -- we hope to return in warmer weather so we can enjoy more of the grounds.
This was the perfect location for us. We enjoyed exploring the grounds and the short drive to Elephant Rocks and Johnson’s Shut-ins. The property was very well-maintained inside and out. Thank you for a very comfortable stay.
This property is beautiful and we enjoyed the woods surrounding the property as well as the easy access to many sites: elephant rocks state park and Johnson’s shut ins!! Perfect fall weekend!
We had a awesome time enjoying the view and location of this property very clean and cozy it had everything we needed to be comfortable. We will be book this location again !!
This property was perfect for our family to unwind and reconnect. It served has a great home base for our day trips to Johnsons Shut-ins, Elephant Rock, and a float trip on the Black River. It is secluded and we enjoyed our evenings around the fire pit.
We really enjoyed this home. It is located in an area that we love to explore with our kids, yet enjoy the privacy and seclusion that this home provides us with. Also enjoyed watching the deer. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!
We loved this peaceful property. It was perfectly located for our plans to visit the local state parks. But even better for us was the secluded acreage. We spent most of our time sitting on the deck or at the fire pit, watching the wildlife, and walking the paths. We plan on returning with friends.
The cabin is immaculate and so adorable. Unfortunately we were there during some pretty intense storms, but we were comfortable and enjoyed the stay in. We loved the way they promoted other areas around Arcadia Valley/Ironton to bring attention to other cool local destinations. The owners were kind and quick to respond when we messaged them for questions. All in all, would recommend to everyone.
L-Wood Acres is an excellent property that is ideally located to explore this beautiful area. The cabin is meticulously decorated and spotless. We traveled with another couple for winter hiking and the experience was perfect. Jeff was great to work with and is a great host. Look forward to a return visit - hopefully with a little less snow and ice on the ground!!
Absolutely amazing the quiet, beauty, and access to so much nature. If you are looking to unwind I absolutely recommend L-Wood Acres. The home complements the natural beauty with windows and a cozy sunroom. Trails for walking, fire pits on and off the deck. Very close are numerous trails and the incredible Elephant Rocks.
Yes a TV and excellent wi fi , Ninja kcup coffee maker, large laundry room, and all the cooking equipment you need. The Iron Mule is a great restaurant- no frills, good prices and food. Grocery store is convenient.
One note- not related to the property, is Verizon is not as strong.
Bottom line- go and unwind. Breathe. All in a very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable home. Five stars plus!! We will be back!!

Tranquil and Relaxed Stay
We enjoyed our health and wellness getaway just outside of Ironton, Mo. Our only issue was the check in process and our inability to get into the property in a timely fashion. We were on a tight schedule the first night and had to reschedule a planned dinner activity due to the delay - I think better and more timely communication from the host would have alleviated this issue. We worked it all out in the end and found the serenity that we were seeking.
If you like being secluded and away from noise, this is the place for you. We truly enjoyed our weekend away from home. Community the owner was great who let us know that the internet was down. We made so with videos we had with us mainly for kids entertainment but even they didn’t care much for it and rather enjoyed exploring.
One thing to be aware of is bugs outside. We live in the country so are aware of ticks and chiggers but there was an excessive amount this time of year. Dress accordingly if you’re going exploring.
Nevertheless we loved it so much that we are hoping to come back end of fall.
Thank you again for sharing your beautiful property with us!
This was a beautiful property to stay at. We loved our time there, except we had no internet connection from the Wi-Fi. Unfortunately we had a bad experience when checking out with the property manager. We sat on a fiberglass log that was on the outdoor sitting area- deck. It immediately cracked in half. My brother in law weighs 180, that should hold him. The log on the deck should have a beware sign, as he got his thigh cut from it. We got accused of trying to steal this fake log worth 69.99 dollars. (We did not want it) we flew to this location. Property manager claimed a 250 dollar charge to my card for the log. I told him we would pay for the broken log even though we are the ones who got hurt from their property. He is now going after another 250-500 total. We left this property immaculate when we checked out and followed check out instructions word for word. I do not recommend this property. If it was managed differently and they treated their guests fairly and with kindness as we did them, It could have been a great stay.
What a perfect place to watch the solar eclipse! I met family in the Zone of Totality and watched day turn to night on the deck of this perfect vacation rental.
The house was comfortable and roomy, the setting was remote yet close to stores and restaurants, and the outdoor areas were relaxing and spread out. The rental was clean and had everything we needed. Very nice.
