Stanley Lake. All Four Seasons.

Crescent Lakehouse is the Upper Peninsula's year-round retreat — 5 bedrooms across three levels, sleeping up to 12, on the shore of Stanley Lake in Iron River, Michigan. Whether you're chasing powder, perch, or pontoon weather, this is the basecamp.

WINTER
Ski Brule is minutes away — one of the Midwest's best-kept skiing secrets, with the longest season in the region. Iron Range Trail Club and Chippewa Sno-Kats trails run nearby for snowmobiling. Ice fish right out front. Snowshoe the property. Warm up by the fire after.

SPRING
Steelhead runs on the Brule River, morel hunting in the national forest, and the quietest shoulder rates of the year. The lake comes alive after ice-out.

SUMMER
The lake is yours. Swim off the dock, kayak the shoreline, fish for walleye and bass, raft up at sunset. Long days, warm nights, loons calling.

FALL
Color tour drives through the Ottawa National Forest. Grouse season opens September. Deer firearm season runs November 15–30 — bring the camp.

THE SPACE
Open great room with vaulted ceiling. An airy loft above doubles as a 5th sleeping area, teen hangout, or quiet reading nook. Full kitchen built for cooking together. Basement game room with foosball — perfect for rainy days, snowed-in nights, or just spreading out. Five bedrooms thoughtfully spread across the home for real privacy.

SLEEPING
Sleeps up to 12 across 5 bedrooms plus loft sleeping. Bring the whole family, the extended family, or a crew of friends.

GETTING HERE
Easy drive from Milwaukee (~5 hrs), Madison (~5.5 hrs), Green Bay (~3.5 hrs), Chicago (~7 hrs), and the Twin Cities (~5 hrs). Iron Mountain (IMT) is the closest commercial airport. Grocery and gas in Iron River. Ski Brule is a short drive.

BRINGING THE BOAT (OR THE DOG)
Boat and trailer parking available near the garage — $75 flat fee per stay, accommodates up to two trailers. Public boat launch on Stanley Lake just minutes away. Up to 2 dogs welcome with a $95/pet fee — we've got bowls, throws, and tips on the best dog-friendly trails in the area.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property. We weren't able to use the oven due to a faulty gas igniter, had some issues getting the main TV to work, would have liked some additional paper towel rolls/garbage bags and access to a snow shovel. The owner was accessible via phone and tried to help resolve our issues.

Wonderful lake house near Ski Brule

Our group of 8 friends/family had a fantastic stay. The house is spacious and beautiful, and is in close proximity to Ski Brule. Would definitely stay again! I would note that a 4WD or AWD vehicle is definitely recommended to navigate the driveway and surrounding roads in the wintertime.

Family Ski Weekend

The house and furnishings were good. We had 12 people. Some of the daily needs were a challenge. Number of towels, number of garbage bags, fireplace lighter, none working bedroom blind. The driveway is a steep challenge which we were told ahead of time about.

Beware of High Deposit Fee

Was great until one of my grown children stood up from the kitchen table and hit their head on a chandelier globe that was directly above their chair. The globe shattered, and the owner withheld an exhorbitant amount from my security deposit for repairs. I reported the damage immediately, thinking it might cost $50-100 to repair/replace a single 10-inch glass globe. I was given excuses for why they needed 10x that amount to restore chandelier to an acceptable condition. Just be ready to pay "through the nose" if you have an accident on this property.

We enjoyed our second stay here. The home is spacious and a beautiful location. The kitchen had everything that we needed along with enough toiletries for the weekend. The only downfall for the winter months is the very steep winding driveway. You can either park at the top of the hill by the road and garage or park by the house only if you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Also the king bed that we slept in was not very comfortable and sqeaky every move you made. Definitely not anything that would ruin a weekend though.
