We were very happy with our stay. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this place has it and much more. There were many places to hike and walk our dog, lakes and rivers. We are making plans to come back
The home is immaculately clean with nice artwork and furnishings. We loved being on the decks and at the lake hearing so many birds. We plan to come back another season.
Very nice quiet rural location across the road from a clean lake with motor-less boats, 10 minutes from Iola

Sweet cottage on a beautiful spot
This is an adorable, spacious, artfully decorated cottage with comfortable beds and furniture and beautiful views of the lake from large windows in the living room and one of the bedrooms. The owner has thought of everything and responds quickly to questions or requests. It's a lovely, restful spot, located a few miles from a cute town with a restaurant that serves the best homemade pie I've ever tasted. I will definitely return!
The home greeted us on a warm afternoon and we found the two-bedroom accommodations to a be a spacious, inviting, warmly decorated, comfortable home. Unlike cold motel rooms, this place had a lived-in feel that reflected the pride and love Jannifer, the host, provided. That evening the rising moon slowly smothered a sea of stars that captivated our attention and filled the night with a marvelous glow. The peace and silence of the place was only interrupted by the sounds of fish splashing the the lake or birds and night critters moving about. A perfect getaway.
We had a wonderful time relaxing and our first impression walking into the cottage was how clean and neat everything was.
All that was listed was exactly accurate and it felt welcoming and was really a well decorated cottage with a feeling of positive vibes and happiness.
It was no doubt the most clean place we have ever stayed
and we had a great time walking and sitting on the balcony and just totally feeling relaxed.
We also met the neighbor Fred who was very friendly .
Our golden retriever was comfortable as well in her surrounding!
It was very nice that rules etc was listed when you walk in the door and information on how to use things.
Thanks ! We highly recommend this place .

My family and I had a lovely stay here. I would recommend it for groups of any age. I felt safe the nights I stayed there alone, and things went well the nights that my daughter and small grandchildren stayed with me as well. Our two dogs loved the location. We were respectful and kept them on leashes outside as there are other dogs in the neighborhood.
The location is very remote, but that's what I was looking for- a place to escape civilization and get away from it all. The peace and quiet was wonderful, and although we didn't see much wildlife (other than squirrels and chipmunks), we did hear frogs, birds and coyotes across the lake in the evenings. We fished off the new dock and took long walks. We cooked together and ate on the 2 decks. The sleeping arrangements worked great. The beds were comfortable and there was an abundance of pillows and blankets. The host was responsive and great to work with. The caretaker lived two doors down and we enjoyed talking to him several times. I would definitely book this place again.
The only stressor for me was I missed the No Wifi in the description and I was working my job remotely and working on graduate school half the time I was there. I limped along with a cellphone hotspot but only had 2 bars of service at best.
We stayed four days to celebrate our 40th anniversary and loved this place. It is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. There are multiple areas to sit and enjoy the lake and the serenity of the area. Great communication with the property owner too. We plan on coming back in the future.
Absolutely loved this property! First impression was that every room was spotlessly clean and filled with unique and beautiful curated items by the owner. Beds were comfy; quiet residential area. Friendly neighbors. Great dog-walking and walking area. View of the lake from inside and outside was lovely.
We loved the attractive property and peaceful location. It will become our go-to place for R&R.

Excellent place!
I went with a friend and it was perfect. We hiked the Ice Age Trail for 2 days and it was wonderful. Great accomodations. There was the dock, the deck and a screened in porch area. All great. One day was chilly so we started the gas fireplace and it warmed the room nicely. Bathroom was nice. Kitchen was great. Bedrooms were perfect. We will return!
Cottage was very cozy and we all enjoyed our time there. Everything was great and was a perfect spot and perfect distance from our pottery retreat! We will probably book here again next year if it’s available!
Beautiful lake views walking kayaking fishing. Relaxing

Nothing NOT to like. Lovely older home interestingly furnished and well kept decorated. Would certainly stay there again. Owner quite helpful and fun to talk to.
My 2 sisters and I do not get to see each other very often. This year my nephew was graduating from UW-Stevens Point, so my sister from South Carolina was coming to the area. Iola is about a 40 minute drive from Stevens Point. This vacation home was the perfect location for the 3 of us Sisters to get together and catch up on our news. Nature is all around you, from sunrise to sunset. Hearing the barred owl in the evening was one of my favorite sounds! Being able to bring the family dog (our Scottish Terrier) was an added perk! Highly recommend this home!
A peaceful location with great views of the lake from the front deck and smaller bedroom. No internet and spotty phone service. We come to the area every year to connect with family and thought I had found a new place and sadly, it won't work for us without internet or good phone connection. Will not be back.
