"We found faces on what was apparently a clean towel folded in our room and despite informing staff about it before 9am when we arrived back it was still on the floor after 3pm! Spa was an extra charge pp and is not for anywhere close to adequate access, when we arrived there were already at least 6 adults in a small hot tub. Wifi connection is totally unmanageable we had to hot spot our phones. Decoration is dated and decaying with grout missing in the bathroom and wallpaper peeling off the walls. Horrendous experience particularly when compared to some other 4 star hotels which feel a world apart. "

Way bigger than we needed.We weren't very lucky with the weather, but the house was a nice place to relax and just get a change of scene.There's not much in Cardross itself, so most activities need a car or train trip. Plenty to do within a reasonably short journey though."

"The host was attentive, but the place was under renovation, and he didn’t tell us ahead of time. There were holes in the walls, the shelves were dirty and the whole air was dingy. We had to ask for a kettle and pots and pans. There was no sponge or fairy liquid or sponge to clean the plates. The cooker didn’t work; we had to wait until the night (11 pm) for it to work. It was not as advertised."
