Second time staying at the Kelvin. First time in 2022 we were in a fresh and quiet room. This time in a superior King room I stayed in was disappointing for its tired state, dirty carpet, hot temperature and dirty windows that let little light in. For its location and price it should do better. Staff and service were fine. The facility and room does not live up to the price charged.

Possibly the worst hotel we’ve stayed in during our tour of NZ . Reception not enthusiastic and we were kept awake for a large chunk of the night by shouting guests and slamming doors . Bar area is dominated by a mini Vegas slots which is a bit off putting . General attitude and atmosphere of place ensured we went out for dinner and breakfast . on the plus side the housekeeping staff were very nice and welcoming .

Great check in staff Free Parking was offered at parking garage around corner Walkable to restaurant and local liquid laundromat Hotel is nicely appointed and would recommend for a stay in Invercargill

Good location with plenty of restaurants nearby, great facilities including ice and laundry available. Disappointingly there was significant dust on the headboard and the soap, shampoo in the individual toiletries were all empty - they should check before leaving for the customers! Reception said they would look into this.

By far the worst hotel we stayed at in our 2 week trip to NZ This hotel is in decline We arrived to a hot, stuffy room - A/C was not working - we called reception, they came, fiddled with the A/C, said it was not working, offered one rickety standing fan that couldn't stand up, was underpowered, and randomly would shuf off - when we pointed all these out, the hapless staff was apologetic and said the manager was truly sory and would compensate us for our inconvenience - however, the next morning, they flat out refused to compensate anything. I really didnt care for the compensation that much, but the dishonesty and we-dont-care attitude of the management was apalling Oh, and breakfast! or lack thereof - we paid for hot breakfast, except they said the restaurant was closed and offerred a bare bones continental breakfast instead, and refused to reimburse the difference in price Overall, this hotel is in decline, thanks to poor, dishonest management, poor facilities and dont-care-for-customers attitude

We do not have any air conditioning in any of our rooms and do not advertise that we have air conditioning, therefore we offer a fan on those hot days. We do offer an extensive range for our continental breakfasts and apologise that this was not sufficient. We appreciate your feedback and will address these issues with our team to ensure better service in the future and can ensure that our team always have the best interests of our guests when they stay with us.

Really is Great value for money (carpark pretty much across the road included in price) and the housekeeping staff are lovel, and excellent at their job we came back to a spick and span room they deserve a pay rise. The location is perfect And right beside the main Mall in Invercargill. Would defs stay again.

Really comfortable small room - perfect for a short visit. No desk though for working on properly. Noisy late at night with a few cars in the street and other guests slamming doors but nothing really annoying. would stay again on businmess.

The hotel is a fine accommodation & the restaurant (Level One) is outstanding. The bonus is the co-located sports bar / slot machine emporium. My wife & I were both big winners that paid for room & board.

Hotel was easily accessible from the airport, in a quiet side street handy to shops (Main dept store opposite). Parking was in a secure parking area nearby. I would recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again.

The free parking was excellent. Room was large, but quite hot. It was good to have a window to open, but area around the hotel was noisy with early morning construction. I would recommend and stay again.
