Got a room at this hotel for the Indy 500 one year before the event. Very reasonable price for such an event. Far enough from the crowds but still close enough to take rides share transportation.

This hotel was gross. It was very dated. Needs a lot of renovations. The hallway smelled strongly of weed. The room smelled musty. The breakfast food and beverage smelled and tasted funny. Pay a little more and get a nicer hotel!

Interesting

Location was good, staff was very helpful where to park the fishing boat, parking had cameras.Breakfast was good.Rooms were clean except for the false eyelash that hubby asked me what is this black thing as he moved his pillow. Smoke detector in room had a clear plastic bad over it and hubby noticed the fire doors had a wedge block on the floors to keep them open. If you overlook those 3 things we'd stay again.

A nicely maintained, older motel

Everything was very, very good. What I would expect from any well run motel. My only negative comment would be the building is starting to show its age, despite the clear efforts ownership has made to upgrade along the way. I'd definitely stay here again.

The things I didn't like were that the AC didn't seem to want to change or be shut off when I tried to control it either from the unit under the window or the thermostat on the other side of the room, the lights near the bed didn't turn on, and the shower head didn't seem to have enough pressure. Otherwise, it was comfortable and worked well for me!
