The staff was very friendly, and the room was clean. However, we were their around Christmas time, and there was no heating in the room. The staff gave us a very small space heater but that could barely warm up the room. It's a cute historical building but I wouldn't recommend for staying there in winter.

    Not during the Winter!

Permanently Locked Windows. Space heaters. Old electrical that could not handle the load. Add a condescending, know-it-all front desk manager resulted in a very disappointing stay at the Historic Winnedumah Hotel. We were not expecting the creature comforts of a new chain, but knew there may be problems when at check in, the hotel manager said to absolutely Not plug in anything in our room such as a blow dryer or computer without unplugging something else. Turns out this is the First Winter Winnedumah will be open and there is NO heat in the rooms except for a Space Heater! And the electrical panel cannot handle the load. By evening when most guests were checked in the power started going out…… They appeared to finally get that under control by unplugging hall lights, the community refidgeator, and who knows what else. And the space heater in the barely, barely made the room tolerable and left the bathroom of course freezing. We did not even shower while there it was so miserable. And to top it off, the hotel manager was extremely condescending, with a very negative attitude to and about guests and our needs. She may be good at hotel services, but please keep her in the back room and limit guest interaction! We may go back After the major renovation is complete and they have worked out all the kinks and quirks. Our stay at the Dow Villa in Lone Pine, built by the same person around the same year 1923, was superior and much cheaper. Book The Dow instead!

It’s unique hotel! We love it!!! If you have an appreciation for history and would like to be a part of it for a little time this hotel for you! Don’t expect tv, fan or other modern devices, hotel has wi-fi and it’s more enough! Thanks for owners, managers and other people that help keep hotel in his original condition! We will definitely return at our next trip.

Not ready for winter , so cold inside the rooms , no proper ventilation, felt literally freezing inside. No heater available, had to live with the blanket.
